The knobs on that foundation make it worth the extra, those knobs go for a pretty penny. If a T series is missing those knobs its value drops. And the knobs them selves can command a nice price used. Other peavey knobs are not worth much, but I still would have rather have the speed knobs that the seller kept on my fury, replaced with strat knobs, that I will eventually replace with chrome ones. It did not make me grind down his price though . I put the cheap chrome ones from my milestone II on my relic 93 fury, and put the skinny mixer/pedal knobs that were on that fury on the milestone when I sold it. The strat knobs are hard to take off, so I am leaving them on for know.

Wish I had money and was close to the seller, I would jump on that foundation in a heartbeat at $175

I would agree with you on the knobs if they were the Peavey P knobs, but it looks to me like these are standard Fender-style amp knobs. Can't quite tell in the first pic, but the third pic shows them more clearly.

I would also still jump on this one for $175, but add in the $85 shipping and for $260 with non-original knobs and a case described as "pretty beat up but functional" and I'm out.

Yep,.they fooled me in the first pic,.cheap amp knobs in the 3rd.

If it is beat up, $150 tops.

There has been a 94-5-6 ish (pics aren't clear) rosewood SF foundation in in black with a case that has been sitting on cl for several months at $275.

I sent an email last night but the add says call only, it is 12:30am so I wouldn't call, but I did send an apologetic text asking about a trade. It might be a landline, I'm gonna call tomorrow if I get no reply. All I have to entertain for it is my 2nd epiphone Thunderbird, would totally sacrifice that for a sf foundation, and put my olp back in backup duty for tribute.

Wish me luck, I'm going to need it.

Could this possibly be a 2 PC neck? It looks like a 94 by the headstock shape, from these pics it looks like it has truss rod cover, but I can't tell for certain. Did some of the early "crafted in USA" models still have the 2pc neck design, and come in rosewood?

Even if it is 1 PC, it would be a cool bass if there are no neck issues, but either 1 or 2 PC his price is high and it has been up there for as long as I can remember on my fury hunt. Super ferrites,.chrome dome.

What's this I heard someone posting that the bodies were made in Korea?

If this guy wants my thunderbird I am golden , and willing to throw in my metal muff and soundtank auto wah if I had to. This has been staring me in the face for months, and I am willing to part with the epiphone.

Luck, I'm gonna need it, I got lucky when I was looking for my first bird and only had an ibanez for trade, and ended up getting $100 cash on top of the trade.

It takes a lot to ding a poly finish bass like that in that manner... it's had a tough life.

For knobs.. would have been the speed knobs (black with white numbers) with the serrated rubber bands at the top (about 1/3 of the time the rubber bands are missing)

If someone wanted a touring bass, it's solid... I put millions of miles on one of these and NEVER touched the truss or microtilt.

It's hard to know for sure. We have seen 94's with single piece and two piece necks. That one does have the cheaper hardware but it does also look to have a pointier headstock. The only way to know for sure would be to ask the seller to send you a pic of the back of the neck. But also, as you say even the single piece necks are great....very thin and fast. As long as the bass is in good shape overall, I wouldn't be worried.

Same one that was there a week ago, it's been at their "luthiers" bench so they pulled it offline (because I asked them to) until he was done.
I told them last week that I wanted to buy it and they promised to notify me when it was repaired and before they put it back online....do you think they called me or emailed me?....nope!
It needed undisclosed repairs, the repair guy could not tell me what was wrong last week, so I blew it off and bought a different Peavey.
I've already got a green halo G Bass, so I really don't need another anyway.
If anybody wants it, make sure you talk to their repair guy and find out what the problem was.
Don't ask the sales team, they had no clue what was wrong with it, and I would guess you will get a BS answer from them today.

I was going to buy it the day they first listed it, thankfully the repair guy pulled it off the floor before I finished the transaction.
Sales team was going to leave it online while it sat in the repair area for a week.
They were not supposed to list it the first time, but they did anyway, and I had to beat them up to take the listing down while the bass was unavailable for sale.

Yeah, GC is hit or miss.

I ordered a 70's Fernandes stone logo P-bass that said "GREAT CONDITION", it had a broken truss rod and a botched fingerboard repair.
Bought a T-40 that was supposed to be in excellent condition w/ case, it showed up with no case and badly packaged and was no longer in good condition (if it ever was) I kept it though, it was back when they sold around $250.
Bought a Foundation that never arrived, UPS blamed GC, GC Blamed UPS. Eventually got my money back from GC.

But I've bought around 15-20 items from them and those are the problems I've had. When you have issues at the store level and they won't reasonably fix it, escalate it past the store and I've always gotten good results.

Their shipping used to be great because you just got whatever it cost them, in 2016 they started marking up shipping. For me, shipping on pedals is like $16.
