G-bass is different. It has the Cirrus preamp so you've a mid pot.

This wont be the best way of explaining things and my ears are stuck in P-bass/flats mode this weather.
Looks like nickels on the Forum. Solo'd I had an awful time getting a tone I liked,that's my fault not the bass.
So I stuck on Siouxsie & the Banshees "Happy House" as I know it was recorded using a ray,best for me was bass about centre and the high boosted slightly past centre. That worked well.Funny thing is I was using my index finger to pick and Severin used a plain o'le plectrum. Again this'll be my preferrence for deeper,darker tones more than anything else.
