I don't think they made a ton of fretless basses until the Cirrus line. Still wish the fretless 5 I used to own had one more string.
You might be correct. A lot of foundation fretless, and some T-40, but can't recall seeing anything else fretless besides the Cirrus from Peavey.

I found a use for the strat knobs on my 90 pinstripe fury and a set of chrome knobs for the fury. An adjustable wrench and a napkin made getting the strat knobs off pretty easy.
Slash wah, a waste of chrome knobs, where the numbers on strat knobs are far more practical, since being able to see the numbers from above or the side, rather than just a little indentation, makes too much sense. And I am about to CL it because I need to aquire a 105q instead.
Also double cconfirmed this peavey is the $125w case one I missed, I remember thinking the bridge was off center in the pics because the E was much farther from the edge than the G. Funny I was so jazzed to get a 5 wire pinstripe with titan tuners that I didn't notice the spacing issue. Also because I met the guy in the morning before going to sleep, always affects judgement somewhat. So he kept the case, the speed knobs, strap and metronome that were in the case in the original post pics, and made $15 in the flip. $140 still a decent price, I just might have the bridge moved over a hair if it didn't leave an obvious fade or indentation in the finish. It plays and sounds fine as is, but it would be nice to have the e going between the pole pieces rather than over one. In this pic the saddles are pushed as far to the left as they will go.
Might just be an excuse for a bridge upgrade in the future.

Or you might very well be able to leave the bridge where it is, and loosen the neck screws and give the neck a bit of a shift to get the strings better lined up.
I did it with a Fury that was off the other way and got the strings where they belong.

Thanks for the PM tips. This fury has the neck bolt holes in the body threaded as well. Bad move by peavey. There was enough play to get it a little better, but the neck is not as secure as it should be since the bolts can't grip the neck as effectively as they would had there not been threading in the body. I will drill it out when I get a chance to go to someone who has a drill. My drill is burned out from a sanding disc episode 20 years ago (got the finish off the front and back of that squier though!).
The fact that you can get such nice playing/sounding basses for the prices that so many of these old USA Peaveys come for, it seems crazy.

A USA bass brand new for $200-250 in the early 90s when a USA fender was $599, there was loose QC and probably less skilled workers cranking out the final assembly, and relatively high production numbers as well. This one is not perfect, but it sounds and plays awesome and cost $140. My only peavey with titans, and they are really smooth, a pleasure to operate, but it does tend to dive a little. The light weight tuners are still good enough.My aspirations for that 94 looking foundation are getting shot down, the deployed cousin(of the lister) who owns it is firm at $250, and I tried to look at it weds when I was down there, but he wasn't answering his phone.
And my Thunderbird is attracting low ballers and other non serious inquiries. $75? Really? The best one was $100 plus $40 Macy gift card. I might have taken $140 cash. 2 different people went pawn stars on me with those $75 offers...
$225. It has a sticker in the neck to pickup area that's going away with my initial disassembly and cleaning.
For an 85 that is great! More reasons not to pay $250 for a mid 90s one. When I sell my bird hopefully for $150, I might throw $175 at it, which is a fair price, looks like it might have some decent chips on it, I hate posts with blurry/glarey pics... And phone calls only,.not the principle owner etc... I want an sf foundy damnit! In black blue or maybe white. Not another red one. Well maybe if the price was right. A 2pc with the 94 headstock shape would be nice, but a pinstripe with titans would be cool.

My current USA Peavey line up. All nearly dead mint. The red fury and flaked foundation were brand new never played until this year and, as a matter of fact, I purchased the foundation as NOS this year. The black fury is an '87 and the absolute most playable bass I own. Installed a GZR-P and it just sings. Just finished peeling the pickguard plastic off the red fury. The T40 is a complete resto. I wanted to maintain some vintage mojo so I had the neck completely refretted and resprayed and blended into the headstock, finished the body in auto laquer and only sanded to 500 grit to give it a texturized effect. Body has a few tiny nicks, etc. from being moved around. New metal pup rings were made and I had all wiring and pots replaced. You can run the pups in himbucking mode with the tone all the way up by pulling the knobs out. Will probably be selling the t40 and the foundation is up for sale if anyone is interested!
