The Zodiac DE is a good bass with a very cool Thin Lizzy vibe.
There's a few nice Peaveys on MGR too. The 2-Tek Axcelerator at $299 would be one I'd go for only shipping/tax raises it to $550 by the time it hits the UK.

Arghh not interested in gear trades
I asked for better pics of headstock and he said he would text them. I said I couldn't make an offer till I knew what neck it is. He said he was selling it for a cousin who is deployed overseas. He didn't seem to know much about instruments.
If that was for me, there are 2 open obsessions for my peavey collection OCD. A foundation with super ferrites, and a peavey with a 94 shaped headstock.
I have to be patient because I don't have the money, but if I could get him down to $150 or lower, I could just price my vintage sunburst epiphone low at $150, throw in one of the nice bags and hope it sells fast in a local market where most people try to get $3-400 for their bolt on epihones.
It is still on my radar, when I get home I think I am going to put the nearly new set of labella Rx stainless strings that came on my goth, and put the Thunderbird back in standard tuning for the block. A foundation in reach is calling me, and I kinda like the black/rosewood combo, despite all my fenders and both my furies also being black. But I definitely don't want another of those ugly red ones.
And the sick snappy tonez I get on my OLP since adding the basslines preamp, are beckoning me to set it back up for drop C for the tribute.
The foundation suits my long term goals better, and it is a waste for me not to be utilizing that preamp, when it is the perfect tone for first album SOAD. 2 bolt on birds is not practical for me to hold on to, 4 peaveys each with different sounding pickups and different headstock eras, to me makes more sense, I will be able to turn off the GAS.

Forum looks like the same pickup mounted in the same spot as the G bass, so I figured it would sound similar.
And I know there is no way the neck could be any better, the G Bass neck is just so good.

I finally got to these links, a couple comments, the fury is exactly like the one I had back in the 90s, the 94 shaped headstock. And on the side of humor, would going to Warwick to buy a peavey, be the same as buying a Warwick from a store in meridian Mississippi?
And that forum, I wish I ckicked the link in the post earlier, because I was IN the south bay GC the other day, and did not see it on the wall. I am headed that way tonight, I might swing by there and ask to see it.
I really want that foundation I was talking about, but if the possibility of a straight trade exists for that forum I might throw the 2 pedals I am trying to sell in, if they can make it happen. I am thinking it has a stingray-ish tone? Thats a 2 band bass treble volume arrangement? It kind of reminds me of the old modulus flea sig, which I know the GBass is similar to, but the forum is all wood.
The thought crossed my mind when I was there, in regards to a used SBMM sub they had there, but for a forum, I might forgo my gas for an SF foundation. The sub was just a thought that got me thinking about trading the 2nd tbird in for, had I seen that forum on the wall for $179...

I'll be honest and say in a live setting folks wouldn't notice the difference between the G-bass and the Forum.
Isolated at home well Yeah you'll hear slight differences but the Forum will give the stingray vibe.
I'll keep my fingers crossed GC goes for the trade.

Thanks, other than my Warwick's which I am keeping in the vault until I am in a more secure and climate controlled living arrangement, I only have one stingray vibe bass, the olp. I have 2 jazz basses (also vaulted, but the american std I will take out) and the vfl foundation, so in a sense the forum makes more sense for my arsenal.
Fingers crossed that it is even still there! And the manager at that GC walked me with a low ball on some vintage boss pedals. So I am up against unfavorable odds.
But it is a one PC neck with the annoying truss like my vfl, but were active forums even around during the 2pc period with les Paul truss?
It is a humbucker i assume? Series or parallel? Decent preamp? Frequency centers?
DOH! It is not at the south bay GC, i was looking at the estimated delivery time TO the south bay store. Problem is they need it paid in full and I don't have the funds...
I'm sort of jonesing over a SF 5 string Foundation I've found online but have never played one in person. Can anyone help me with a description of the feel of the neck? I. E. How wide is the nut and how thick (front to back)? For reference sake, I love the necks on 5'er Axcelerators and Millennium BXPs. Thanks!

Just had the scratchplate off my Forum,it's 080 so after 95. One piece neck. The preamp is the Axcelerator preamp.
The high are 255Hz and above, Lows 96Hz and below.

255hz for highs? Something tells me I wouldn't like that. That's a low mid control, shelving at 255hz just seems odd to me. Guess I would have to hear one, but this one is very far away and I can't front the money to get it here till my tbird sells, IF it even sells, priced at $180 with a $40 roadrunner bag incl, no bites yet. On a different note, I went to check out a local rush tribute for the first time, I talked to the guys between sets. Told them about the soad tribute, part of my Peart story, and by the third set the wigs were off (the keys guy left after the 2nd set so the tribute part was over), and it was covers with some guests. Then I got put on the spot and asked to play ain't talking bout love, which I never played before, but I went up and rocked it. Then when they started road house blues I mentioned I played it in my last band and he handed me the bass again. A run of the mill CIJ geddy Lee, they are consistently good

Do you get a huge boost of low mids when you turn up the treble? 2.5khz makes sense, perhaps just an error in the manual?Hey @ubernator

Personally I prefer the 6k switch over the 3k switch on my basslines blackouts preamp, but I like that snappy top end, and I put it in a licensed stingray clone, along with MEC (Warwick) FNA pickup, so the top end snap at 6k sounded way better than 3k.
It has to be a typo, I hope at least.

I am really hoping that is the case. But I really wanted to know what your ears told you
. I'm sure it sounds good though, or there would be tons of talk about every forum and G bass owner swapping out the pre.Man I wish this thing was local. A SF foundation might be back to the next and last for a while peavey target.
