I appreciate it very much! A very nice quality and USEFUL bass for the same price or less than some of the junk basses being imported. This baby is solid and sounds wonderful. It has a great feeling neck on it and no Fender style dead spots. Yes, I am very happy.
I was looking for a USA made Peavey 4 string and found a really beat up Fury in a local pawnshop but they wanted $179 for it and it was really trashed.
I've spent some time playing the Forum and have to say that it is a most impressive bass. It plays great and the tone is just wonderful. I've played along with a few tunes on Youtube and this bass really sounds good in the mix.
The last time I was this impressed with a bass was when I got my Axcelerator 6 string. It is interesting that these basses share the same preamp.

I just played a Cabaret Night at my daughter's high school: an evening of songs from shows like Anything Goes, Grease, Wicked, Waitress, Rent, etc. Played the whole night on my '95 white Fury with a delicious Lindy Fralin pickup in it and LaBella Deep Talkin' flats. Deeply satisfying tone through my little GK MB200 and Eden CX112 stage monitor and the house. Sound guy loved it, said that's exactly what a "P" should sound like. That Fury is *such* a great bass to play: light, beautiful slim jazz-type neck, and great construction. In and out of the case, Canadian cold and car, then back for a second night—still perfectly in tune!
guess I'm hooked. I keep finding Peavey foundations for around $100 bucks , I do a set up, fall in love with them and end out keeping most of them. They can be pretty beat up, but they sure play and sound great by the time the get a truss rod adjustment, and a little work on the neck tilt. If I do have to part with them, all it takes is someone to check the neck out. Admittedly the Cirrus cost me a little more. Just sold a lipstick red foundation but am hoping for a Salmon one to pop up some day... Just to drive the band nuts.

Hello fellow Peavey people I would like your advice on a Peavey purchase I may be making. As I have mentioned I have caught Foundation fever badly & already own a 1992 Foundation but I really want one from 83-89, I think they look better and just looking at eBay today during work I found one. So I have just put a bid on what looks like a 1984 Foundation in Natural with SF pickups & metal P knobs with OHSC, and will post to the UK where I live this is where I need your help & advice.
There are two, 1 in the classic Black & Maple (my favorite) but the headstock decal is worn away, the second is natural & bar for a missing TRC seems to looks ok. To my eye the bass looks alright but has anyone else looked at this bass & if so does it look ok to you, or would it be better to steer clear and wait for another.
