I don't think it was routed. The BQuad pups are pretty big. I think the ring is there to hide the screw points of the original pups.

I actually like the Bart pre/pups upgrade, but the Omega (basdass'esque) bridge that hangs over the arm-cut is kind of hideous. If someone was unhappy with the original (Wilkinson?) bridge there are much better options for update. They upgraded to Hipshot tuners, why not a Hipshot bridge?

plus the preamp is proprietary -- has never been available as parts (to the best of my knowledge)

I'm confused why the owner didn't just buy a Quantum....

Just out of interest Shawn my 1991 Peavey Dyna Bass (second model with flat top humbuckers, not Super Ferrites) was delivered to me here in Australia with all the same content in it's case as Instagator's post except for the strings. Maybe exported models missed out on the included strings in the early 90's.

Resized_20180313_051907.jpeg I love the peavey amps/cabs I own, but I really would like to add a Grind and a T-40 to collection. I figure if I could get a T-40 and play 30 minutes a day before work I could skip doing squats in my workout.

That backstage plus has some really dirty pots that I need to clean up but its an awesome little guitar amp.

Assuming it arrives today as estimated, it will have taken 8 days from MISSISSAUGA to San Antonio. I guess it went right through Customs. Don't know if they opened the box and looked at it.

I don't care for Maple fingerboards and bought this bass because of the low price and great condition. Pau Ferro is harder than rosewood so it tends to be a little brighter sounding than rosewood. I suspect the maple will sound just fine.

I have never played a Millennium so this will be an interesting bass for me to check out. I never understood Peavey's thinking when they put the superior preamp in the Millennium rather than in the top of the line Cirrus. However, I have no problem getting the tone I want out of my Cirrus 6 string.

I wish I had been more curious about the Cirrus and Millennium when they were in production. In those days, I was playing Ken Smith and Pedulla basses and thought the Peavey basses were overpriced....and made that decision without really trying them. That was very foolish and I regret it.

If I had been more open to Peavey in those days, I could have ordered some killer basses with the woods that I prefer. My eyes were really opened when I got my Cirrus 6 and then ordered an Axcellerator 6 on a whim. The Cirrus kills and the Axcellerator is so much better than most 6 string basses offered by folks like Ibanez.

It is 9:25 and Canada tracking still shows "Item has arrived at the delivery office in the destination country". That entry was made a 6:31 yesterday morning so I should be delivered today.

I believe the Millennium predates the Cirrus by a couple years so when it was introduced, I think it was top of the line for a bit. Could be wrong on that. The pluses with the select wood were right up there price wise. You won't at all be disappointed with quality of Milly's. Mine is top notch. The pau ferro is indeed bright, I have cobalt rounds on mine and it can be hard to tame so I can't even imagine maple. They are definitely overshadowed by the Cirrus's though when it comes to overall looks/style.

Waited most of the day and still no delivery of the Millennium so I took a drive to my post office and they did a bit of research and told me the bass was last scanned in Dallas (I am in San Antonio) and that the label on it did not include my house number...just has my street on it. We took steps to get that corrected but the bottom line is that I have no idea how much longer they will take to get the bass to me.

My experiences with packages shipped through the postal system have not been good. They once took 6 weeks to deliver a bass to me that was shipped within the US.
