Pay no attention to the man behind the bass.

I finally found a G Bass I could afford a few weeks ago. Played three gigs with it and I will say they're all they are cracked up to be. The neck is probably the finest I've had my hands on and doesn't have even the slightest hint of a weak note. The EQ points are just right for my tastes with the mid perfect for the active humbucker. I have a Millennium pre but hear no reason to put it in. Round and full with the right touch and hit it a taste harder and the high mids/highs start to come out and some growl comes in. Responsive in a one word description. I'm extremely pleased with this one. Pic from last night's gig. 2nd Model Dyna 5 waiting in the wings but it turned out to be it's wallflower night.

All black bass with RW board always looks great!

But i really dig my black on maple neck 85 Foundation 4 and 90's Foundation 5 as well....just a classic look......my white late 80's Fury w tort guard and RW board is another fav.

But yea, the all black w painted headstock is a very good look.

Is that a T-Max amp I see?

It's a KiloBass but I also have a T-Max, Session Bass, Mini-Mega and various cabinets to combine for just about whatever I need. I have used the KiloBass with a 410/210 and T-Max with 2-210s combined for 1250 watts several times outdoors when there was no FOH support for me.

Midnight Metallic blue Dyna Unity was the pick that night.

You also got a good color....my pimp green sparkle G Bass is a bit ridiculous.
Is that bright white?..or pearl white? ..or some sort of holographic sparkle thing?

Sadly, I sold it long ago. Technically I traded it for a 70s P bass, back when they were worth about the same.

Nice - I gigged with a pair of T-Max amps for awhile - they were very good, and ahead of their time, IMO...

Picked this up at the post office late afternoon just seconds before they closed. It is like it was in a time capsule. All the chrome is spotless, no pits or blemishes. Some minor dings here and there but not very noticeable. Need to do some intonation adjustments, but other than that this thing is sweet!

Black & Maple is a timeless classic & deserves to be my 92 Foundation has this combination . But a matching headstock on a RW board just finishes it off for me, may have something to do with playing a RIC 4003 for 16 years .

Picked this up at the post office late afternoon just seconds before they closed. It is like it was in a time capsule. All the chrome is spotless, not pits or blemishes. It's pearl, just a slight iridescence.

Beautiful example you have. Congrats. I can't believe the excellent condition of the hardware.

When the Foundation was released back in 1983 it was featured in their Monotor Magazine, does anyone have a full size scan of it please. I am going to try to collect the few things I have seen advertising this bass.

Just finished refretting this VERY WORN T-40 neck. My first refret, and this neck had more wear, tear, and dings than a hundred 50s Fender Ps... INSANE!! But, I love it! Huge challenge with the fret slots and wood being eaten away by thousands of hours of sweaty hands. I can’t wait to bolt it up and give it a workout with the band!
