Def let us know! I called on that one before the pic was up. The guy I talked to said there was a lot of bow in the neck (not sure if he meant TR relief), and a good size ding on the bottom near the jack, and some other body damage. I’m weird about dings so I passed on it - besides my wife would have killed me...

I saved these pics off an ebay listing a while ago. If it hadn't been so beat up I might have gone for it. It's not the salmon finish, or rose pink, or whatever. Is it "lilac"? It's extremely uncommon, whatever it's called.

I think you have a winner there. Cool color chart, too.

Do you happen to know what years of production that chart represents? Not seeing anything on the list that might be the name of those 'salmon pink' Foundations we see now and then.

That Colour chart is from a Peavey Monitor Magazine from 1984 if that helps..otherwise I cant be sure of production years unless one of the Peavey experts chimes in.

I ran across a pic in one of my magazines about a Peavey Midibase Bass Guitar which looked interesting. I found a thread here on TB about it too. This is that link. For Sale - 1992 Peavey MidiBase
The guitar seems to be a cross between a Midi controller and a bass guitar...quite rare and very interesting..I'll include my pics and info I have of it. Comments should prove interesting from you Peavey Bassists. Giff.

First time I came across it was 88/89. The designer,Steve Chick (?), and Wal were developing the tech. Group of us were watching it being demo'd, then the swine going through the techno wizardry handed it to me :jawdrop::jawdrop: My bottle went and I handed it straight back,never played a note :laugh:

Got one last year,keep promising myself I'll get a handle on it but frankly it's over my head. The systems today are so much easier. One of these can be had for £40/£50

I agree tho...it looks like a very complicated beast. My UK wife had to explain about you loosing your bottle to me..I thought maybe he was holding his beer and was disturbed when the guy handed the bass to him...she cracked up...NOOO she said...it means kodiak lost his nerve basically and said..take this thing back lolll now ive cracked up. Thanks again kodiak for the entertainment and great pic/info. Giff.

I noodled on a Midi Bass at Broadway Sound back in the early 90s. Way too much $$ for me and too complicated too! IIRC every fret was wired up so that they were basically sensors.

Beautiful looking bass..I agree with the onlookers, but 37 degrees..I thought darn that's stinking hot..took me a few seconds to realise you meant 37F not 37C like we use in Aust. Celsius measurement lolll Guess 37F was a tad chilly lol Must be a bit hard on the fingers playing in cold temps like that. We can get quite cold here in Aust but our winters, in most parts of Australia, are generally quite warm compared to that 37F temp.
