Beautiful looking bass..I agree with the onlookers, but 37 degrees..I thought darn that's stinking hot..took me a few seconds to realise you meant 37F not 37C like we use in Aust. Celsius measurement lolll Guess 37F was a tad chilly lol Must be a bit hard on the fingers playing in cold temps like that. We can get quite cold here in Aust but our winters, in most parts of Australia, are generally quite warm compared to that 37F temp.

Pfft.....37F in Northern Wisconsin is like a summer day to those folks up there. I spent a Jan and Feb in Antigo, WI once. I'll never do that again!

They say you can get used to anything. Personally, I don't believe it.

I'm Aussie born and bred and hate the hot weather here in summer. 40C is not very pleasant and our summers get hotter than that at times too..45C a few days in Feb this year...I make sure I keep all my basses in the rooms where the air conditioning is, as the heat would warp the necks otherwise if kept in the non A/C rooms. I would say you US, UK and Euro guys have the opposite problem keeping your basses in good condition in freezing weather.

Anyway back to the bass..it really is a beautiful Peavey richntiff . I hope you enjoy it and shes a great player. I dont know much about the Millenium basses. Is yours an American made or overseas made bass? I know its a 5 String J/MM Pup design but alas I dont know much else. From memory wasnt the BXP model made in Indonesia or Korea? Im sure the Peavey experts will let me know loll
I have my '91 Dyna Bass 5 ive had for nearly 30 years and and lovely old T-40 as well but I would dearly love a Cirrus 5 after I saw Mike Porcaro from Toto in concert on a Blu-Ray that I have playing his beautiful Cirrus.

Lol - and I’m an hour north of Antigo - it’s downright balmy down there

It’s actually green - really a nice deep/jade color - I haven’t actually looked up th official Peavey name for that color....

Thanks - it’s a US Peavey. I love it - I have another identical one in red. I’ll tell you how much I like the Millenium - I actually traded another TB’er (Chuck M) my US Cirrus 5 for it ( + some other gear to even it up a little bit ). Monetarily I guess technically I came out on the short end - but I found the geometry of the Cirrus was giving me hand and wrist issues. The Milly fits me so much better. I prefer the tone of the Milly pre as well. With how hard the Milly 5’s have become to find, the trade was a no brainer for me. My Cirrus was sitting in its case, and the Milly 5 honestly fits me better than anything else I’ve ever played!

There is a Peavey colour called a Trans Green which could be the same as yours. Have a look at this link even though the listing has ended just scroll down a tad. There is also a Peavey Teal Blue which to my eyes looks more green loll second link.

Hey y’all, I found a Peavey ‘77 400 series “Bass” amp that works well (of course), no issues, in my town for $160. Snagging it tomorrow morning.

Cool! I love those amps. It's from the transitional time of the model. Does this one have the fuzz and distortion circuits with series/parallel inputs (400B) or not (400A)? Footswitch?
I'm asking because
1. I briefly owned a B version. It was awesome (distortion AND fuzz!), but it didn't fit on my Kustom 2x12" cabinet as well as my Century 200, it was a Stonehenge-y "T", so I sold it. I really liked the B version, the master volume was a great addition for keeping the relative blend of the channels intact. Either way, it's a killer bass head and that's a pretty darn fair price. Make sure to have the electrolytics looked at. Fresh caps in these amps make a world of difference for tighter, harder hitting low end. My 100W Century hits hard despite having 1/2 the power of the 400.

There's been one of those passive PJ Millenniums on ebay for over a year. Can't imagine there was much call for yet another PJ in the bass marketplace.
Guess this is what happens when you a load of Millennium necks to use up. The left over preamps were going in Cirrus customs and bolt ons so you go passive,the JJ Milleniums wasn't too successful so you try PJ.

Had my gall bladder out 22 years ago, they kept me for one day after surgery.
Had my appendix out 36 years ago, they kept me for one day after surgery.
Had four vertebrae in my neck fused ten years ago and they kept me one day after surgery.
Had my thumb joint rebuilt and I was sent home the same day.
Had surgery to fix my trashed elbow and they sent me home the same day.
Had hernia surgery and they kept me for two days.
Had a vasectomy and walked out of the surgery twenty minutes after they finished.
Apparently in the USA, the overnight stay is is just too damn expensive!!!!
...or they think my wife is nurse (which she is not).

With all due respect your surgeries were when you were younger....im 59 and diabetic, done hard labor my whole life and putting off surgeries for years....i understand kicking folks out of the hospital sooner as they are filled with staph etc....my brother had a quad by pass at 71 and let me tell you it was a VERY rough recovery and he will never fully recover....he had never been sick thru his life and looked down on folks with health issues......he got a rude awakening to say the least.

Dont put off surgeries is my advice.

Darn 58kites..I feel downright healthy now.
You certainly have been through the wars ol chap. Expensive hospital stays here too especially if you dont have health insurance although the govt. Medicare system here is free and does soften the blow but no choice of hospital or doctor on the govt system.

I am also 59....my surgeries were at 23, 28, 30, 37, 40, 47, 50, 58.
Recovery time from surgery does get longer as I get older for sure, seems that is even the case recovering from a really heavy day of labor,
...I hobble out of bed the next morning feeling like I've been beaten with a stick!!

Giff, the vasectomy was not really painful for me after the deed was done. ...think maybe I got lucky.

I wish I had the footswitch!! I will play around more with it this weekend. But, I’m digging it so far!
