Coming from a guy with fifteen US made Peavey basses, five of which are GVs, yes.

hehe. I'll have a report on here in short order after I get it. I probably overpaid a little, but I haven't seen a 5+BN for sale in quite a long time - I was beginning to think nobody would ever let one go again. Called and talked to the GC it is at - the guy I got on the phone was the guy that took the bass in. He says it looks brand new, like it had never been played. He must know the guy who brought it in, he described him as one of those guys who buys stuff, never ever uses it, then gets rid of it at some point. He also said their 'main bass guy' - played it and was blown away by the tone and playability. Well duh.... He'd never played a Millennium before...

Also - GC gave me free shipping - which is unusual for a used purchase....

i think they're currently running a special with free shipping on used guitars.

I've had several US Peaveys go through my hands, and a good number of them looked as though they'd never been played- stock strings, plastic on the control cavity, sometimes even the order tag. I don't know what's wrong with people!

Oh, and I was tempted to snag that Mill, but it was just a bit higher than i wanted to pay. Congrats!!

That bass is phenomenal. When I started to have physical issues from playing it due to the geometry, I was crushed. Then I got my first Millennium and it blew me away that I actually liked the tone and playability of the Milly more than the Cirrus (for me). But as far as build quality and aesthetics - that Cirrus I sent your way is INSANE. Every gig I played with it, I got compliments on it.

It's weird isn't it? My other Milly's still have the plastic film on the control cavity covers..... My green one is dead mint, the red one is excellent + except for a slightly bent tuner shaft that I need to replace - but not a mark on the body or neck anywhere. Are people that careful with them, or do they really not get played?

I sat there with it in my cart for quite awhile lol - thinking ' this is just a bit more than I want to pay' - but it's 'almost' my ultimate unicorn bass (a peacock blue 5+BN would be the ultimate) - and I had a 'screw it, you only live once, besides I can sell a kidney' moment and just went for it. :roflmao:

There's another one on Reverb, AND it's in my town... but it's slightly higher than yours. Does come with a case though... ugh, I don't need anymore basses. I need to stop trying to justify it! lol

Yes, then after fingering all three until you (I mean your friend) are satisfied, decide which two out of three to keep! :D

Hey guys, can I join the club?

My Peavey Palaedium, 1992 or 1993, in amazing shape for the age. I recently had it rewired as the tone knob was dead and the pots were crackly. From the look of the frets I'd guess it spent a good portion of its 25 or so years on this earth in its case.

The sound is warm with smooth highs and pronounced mids, as you'd expect I've you've ever heard Jeff Berlin's music.

Speaking of not needing anymore basses but getting another anyway. The price was right so I bought this green holoflake G Bass yesterday. Never cared for the red or black but this spoke to me as did the recent pearl white. Free shipping and a Levy's gig bag. Guess I'm ready for a St Patrick's Day gig next year. Seller's pics. Can't tell if it has the pretty weave on the neck but I'm hoping.

mech you'll just have to stop listening to basses that speak to you..it may save some space at home loll..nice purchase btw.
