Verdine had several basses but did not stay long with Peavey moving along to Ibanez or back to Yamaha.
Im going to tell on myself here----Im a hoarder/investor--I will buy low and sell or trade high--- yes its true-- I have a problem--- not too long ago I traded everything in this vehicle.......Speaking of secrets....I think there are a number of us who collect more toys than we need ...on the down low.

Literally a SUBARU full of low end gear-- 1 decent Gibson --- and a couple small amps -- 14 pcs in all for
a guitar I have wanted for 30 years......
$$$$ wise it was about an even trade---and I do not even miss the stuff I gave to get this wonderful ALL ORIGINAL-- late 1970 first gen Recording Guitar-- not a bit--- no regrets---the CROWN JEWEL of my Collection
I say all that to say this.......(I hate when old people do that-- oh wait-- Im old ! )
After I drove off ---- my dear wife went in my Office/Doom Room to use the printer---she remarked on Facebook a few minutes later
"I just watched my husband spend 45 minutes loading a subaru WAGON ---FULL OF GUITARS--- and when I walk in his room , I cant tell any are missing!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
--Ive got stuff so squirreled away and hidden sometimes I forget what I have!!!

also please note in above pic --- the pile of CRAP lower right of pic is destruction debris from Hurricane Irma repairs--- lost a roof and a front wall/windows--- water damage etc..... what a mess.

It's actually kind of funny, I haven't felt any bass guitar GAS for years. My T-45 is definitely not the be-all end-all, but it's better than its reputation makes it out to be, and it sounds the way I want a bass to sound. I check the classifieds here once in a while and yeah, there's a lot of beautiful stuff passing through and sooner or later something will probably show up that I lust after, but it hasn't happened yet.
Do tell -- what is it that makes it special... just the model or compared to other T45
It took me owning about 30 Millenium 5s to find my Black Onyx Millenium. I've swapped necks and it looses it's mojo

MN - are you going to have a Milly or Cirrus pre available? I'd like to pickup a spare pre for my Millys - I've also had this idea to try a Cirrus pre in a Milly - just for the heck of it.... Actually might be interested in the Milly pups too - can you PM me with details?
A previous owner pulled its frets, and I had the fingerboard resurfaced and the whole bass tuned up at Elderly Instruments a while ago, so it's about as tight as it can be. I've certainly tried better-playing or better-sounding instruments, but this has been my main axe for a long time and I know how it feels.
It's the only T-45 I've played, but I've tried other T-40s; they don't feel any better or worse really.
Looks like there is a problem with the G string tuner. Has black tape on it maybe holding the ear in place.
BassikLee, you just diagnosed the rattle on my Fury. I could not find it for the life of me. I thought maybe the truss rod nut was loose or something. When I play the open A it sometimes buzzes like nobody's business. As I played it I touched each tuner ear and sure enough the E tuner ear was rattling! Just a small movement I never noticed before. Thank you, Thank you Thank you!

Glad I could help. Get some real thin super glue. Just a micro bead, let it wick into the gap between the shaft and the clover leaf.
Will do....I will definitely buy you a beer some day when I get down there. My mom lives in Zephyrhills and my son in Naples....so I do get down that way from time to time. Currently prepping for this hurricane coming at me...live south of Raleigh near Benson, NC.
