U.S. Peavey Club

Ha! There was a couple lefty black Foundations out there a few months ago. I considered getting one to put the neck on my fretless to make it a fretted bass (with flair). They disappeared, now I know where maybe one ended up! :)
I like the idea of a flipped bass, Dug Pinnick played them, I think it looks cool.

Foundation fretless trivia ... you USED to be able to order a second neck for a FL model... send them a serial number.. they would mail back a corresponding neck (to your dealer)... this is how some times we'll see a bass with 2 identical serial numbers one fretted... one "t-40FL" ... cost about $125 street price

Pics from a few years back. Every show, no matter where, someone asked about "that old Peavey T-40".

@jjk2007 ...that is one beautiful bass. Never seen one that color. I know how well they play and sound. :)

I remember being 13 or so when the TL-5's came out. One of our music stores in KC (where I grew up) got them in and I think they had one of every color. I think the blue and green ones were at the top of my list.....really nothing wrong with any of the colors though!

Reactions: mech and JEDI BASS
Yes. The 1st gen models did.
Now that I've had 30 years experience playing almost every type of bass, I can honestly say that I have not heard a better single coil than the SF.

Why I did not like my 2nd bass (1st quality one) which was a natural/maple 1st gen Foundation, I do not know. :-/

I was young and inexperienced and wanted a Rickenbacker. Then my band practically bullied me into trading my new '92 Rick cause "it wouldn't stay in tune". The real issue was brand new strings put on right before a gig.... and my ignorance! I didn't stretch them. Anyways, I traded it (plus cash) for a Soundgear 6 string. And, I just recently got a Foundation again and LOVE IT!!!

The TL has been handling all the gigs now.....like a champ. We had a photog friend out this past Saturday taking pics for us so I thought I'd throw this one on here. I've got shows on Thursday and Friday and the TL will be the only one loaded up....once again!

OMG Radical TL5 !! That is an Alembic without the price tag. Peavey higher end USA made basses are so amazing.
