My recently acquired Millennium Plus 5 with companion Peavey half-stack.
I've owned a couple of the four string Millenniums, but just didn't bond right with them. The five string, that's a whole 'nother story!

Cool pickguard!! I made an aluminum diamond plate guard for a Bongo I used to have.

Out of all the peaveys.. this one is the penaltimate - you do need a jewlers set of files and 4 hours to dial it in.
I didn't buy the RJ, but last month I picked up a Metallic Red Unity. It is probably better for me. It's passive which is my preference. It was also only $150. Took a turn of the trussrod and that was all the adjustment needed. Switched out the .02 cap for a .082 and I can get thumpy like James. Great neck-through at a great price.

How is the action on your unity? There's a trick as they had a issue with the bridges on the unity models.
I keep all of my action about 1mm from the frets.

Wow, that really looks good. I think I'm going to paint my natural one black. I've got to repaint my Foundation S anyway.

The action on my Unity was great once I adjusted the trussrod, as was the intonation. I tend to keep the action low, but perhaps not as low as you do. I don't see anything tricky about my bridge. It appears to be either a Gotoh or Peavey's copy of a Gotoh. It seems to function just fine.

I am sold on peavey foundations. I got 5 string one in a trade a few months ago and the excitement of a new bass has not worn off for me yet. My band-mates have made several comments on how much they like the tone. I would like to join US peavey club. I will post a picture soon.

Good deal. I spent $262.50 for mine new.
By the way, I picked it up and played it the other day. The wood feels so good I'll never paint it.
You can get a unity to play within 1MM off the board.. if you crank the bridge down, it still doesn't sit all the way down - buy a $30 set of jewler's files.. 4 hours later it will out play any botique bass.
Unfortunately the bridges were not figured out until later - these should have been shorter.
