Minimal feedback is only the beginning of the problems with that listing. (It has since been taken down). Terrible, incoherent photos, and a poor description don't help either. And how did he determine it was a Cirrus? It would say "Dyna-bass" on the headstock.

But what I'd really be worried about is the paint being worn and chipped around the control cavity. There is no significant wear on that bass except in that area. This tells me that someone has gutted the electronics.

There is a listing on Ebay. The copy says it is a Cirrus BXP...neck thru etc. The photo is of a Dyna bass. I sent the seller a message telling him what his bass is and his response is "I kno". If he knows it is a Dyna why list it as a Cirrus BXP?

Mine is a 1991 Dyna Bass second model with flat top humbuckers not the Super Ferrites. They were used for a short time since the passive and active VFLs were in development and replaced them. 1st model Dyna Bass as in that advertised one, had the Super Ferrites as is pictured on his Ebay advert. That Ebay listing is definately a Dyna Bass not a Cirrus.

I was casually looking through the Talkbass classified ads about 2 years ago and came upon an ad for a nice Foundation FL for cheap. On an impulse I bought it. The bass arrived and I was blown away with the great tone and how beautifully it plays.

That was the beginning.

Then I bought my Redwood top Cirrus 6. Next was a Foundation 5 for $199 off Guitar Center’s website. A Millennium 5 came my way but got swapped for a Flame Maple top Cirrus 5. I traded a Stingray 5 for a like new Wenge top Cirrus 6. Then a new old stock Millennium J/J 4 was added to the collection. Several other US Peavey basses made visits to my collection.

Today I was looking through ads for USA Peavey basses. I really want a TL5 and a GV.

I am a sick man, friends.

Yesterday I scored a Axcelerator Plus from the Guitar Center used site for $239. Should be here in a few days and I'm pretty pumped! It'll be my first Peavey bass actually. Hard to pass on a U.S. made high quality bass for the price of a used Squier.

While I love the Super Ferrites, I really like how the pickups match the truss rod cover, nice look.

I made them (the white logos) painstakingly over a few days. It's what we called "Contact adhesive covering" here in Aust. and was mainly used to cover school books, line cupboard drawers etc etc..lots of uses. Plastic stick on stuff..lol It took me ages to copy the logo on paper then transfer it to the Plastic sheet of "Contact" before cutting the logos out with a few sharp razor blades..those pup and TRC logos have been on there since 1991 and still havent moved in 2019..lol I thought the pups and trc looked a bit bare when I first bought the bass in '91 so decided to spice it up. Those darn logos have been commented on more times that any query over the DynaBass itself loll A great bass guitar btw that gigged so many pubs and clubs here in Australia over the years Ive had her. Lucy is her name cause simply put..she's a red-head.

That is a smoking deal. The Axcelerator is a superb instrument. I believe the "Plus" models have swamp ash bodies, as compared to poplar bodies on the standard Axcelerator.

Yeah swamp ash on the Plus model. Same pickups as the Cirrus model from what I've read as well. Seems like A LOT of bass for less than $250.

I owned this one up until very recently. It's the standard Axcelerator, but it was light weight and sounded outstanding. These basses have 18v electronics.

My exact thoughts LOL, with all due respect, of course, to kodiakblair!! I can't find any more room, or I would own more I'm sure. I think I have at least 20 basses and guitars, not all Peaveys though.
