U.S. Peavey Club

B-Quad's are going for around a grand, give or take. (I paid $740 for mine 3 weeks ago). For what that bass is - high quality, innovation, style and rarity - at $1,000 I think it's still a bargain.
It's just that in $1,000 range, it's the most expensive used Peavey out there. By far. And Peavey owners aren't used to paying that kind of dough.

We (my son, Hollywars and I) have several Peavey basses.
He took the red GBass and has an amber TL6.
I've been playing a Palaedium and a B4.
The TL6 has narrower spacing that I cannot easily play, but sounds really good.
"I" think the B4 is all it is cracked up as, and a bit more. Very well made, graphite neck, great maple body, good bridge. Gives a great unamplified sound. The electronics support the intrinsic tone.
I rather like the Peizo, but is drains the batteries quickly.
Mine plays well.

So far I have managed to fight Hollywars for it, but he has grown so big, my days with it may be numbered. I will get another if I can find one. Still cheaper than a USA P or J.
My guess is the GBass is a really good player, but I can't get it from Hollywars. An amazing bargain.
Palaedium is a J bass take off, with a bit better neck, more powerful PU's and tougher finish than the Fenders I've used (Only owned P-basses though)
Wish I'd kept my 80's Foundations, which had to go when I needed $$. I thought they played and sounded better than basses of the other major companies at the time but had no snob appeal.

B4 1997
These seem to be of recent interest, but for many years rarely saw one.
This is very close to actual color -- deep sapphire blue.
TL6 1992
A little more orange and a bit lighter than color in daylight. Beautiful amber and figuring.
These were tops when they first became available, rarely seen for a while. Have not seen many discussed or used lately.
String spacing is not to my liking, but seems close enough to the Ibanez sixes.
The TL6 is a vastly better bass than any Ibanez I have played.
Hollywars G-Bass looks just like above. Will post more pictures later.

I used to really want a TL-Six till I got my Axcelerator 6. The TL is still a hell of a bass but I prefer the Axcelerator.
Whoops. Didn't notice my dad posted pictures. I currently play the TL-6 A LOT, and I regularly practice with the G-Bass. Both are fantastic instruments. The TL-6 is very good, kind of shreddy. Very flat neck, and very playable in my opinion. This is coming from me, who has never played anything but a 4-string before.

Very quiet, very powerful pickups. Versatile sound. A dream to play. Light as a feather. Superb quality.

Is it a precursor to the Cirrus?
It has a carbon fiber neck. The 35" scale doesn't bother me at all, but some don't like it. The pickup (2 pickups on the 5) is the same as on a Cirrus. The neck is very narrow (I measure 1.45" at the nut), but very comfortable. Sounds great. I'll be playing mine Friday night at a gig.
Apparently the early ones had necks made by Modulus, later they had another company make them. As I heard it, you can tell which it is because on the Modulus necks you can see the fiber, not on the other. Mine is Modulus if that is true.
A great sounding, playing and looking bass, very comfortable, light and well balanced. Gotoh bridge and tuners. And you can get them for really great prices. I paid $300 for mine in excellent condition. I've seen them cheaper. I don't know of a better bass you can get for that price.
The G-Bass is the first 35" scale bass I owned. I couldn't even tell the difference between the 34" and 35" scale.
I have the graphite neck with the visible weave, also. If I ever see another for under $300, I'd buy it on principle alone. It's insane that a bass like this could go for that kind of money.

No. Mine is a 4-string with a ruby red sparkly body.
