The cream one?
Peavey sold some with a three ply guard and many Gen 3's with single ply.
The single ply obviously being a cost cutting measure.
They both had single ply black guards when I bought them.
At this point, the bright white Fury has the three ply white guard on it, so it looks like a gospel church bass.
The cream one has the single ply black pickguard on it now like a Sid Vicious/Dee Dee Ramone bass.
It's funny, when you put the black guard on the cream Fury it looks a lot less yellow and a lot more soft white/off white.
My '62 Blue Custom is my favorite of the three split coil Furys, it's in the best shape, the neck feels fantastic, and the 62 Blue color looks like the 1962 Chevy Corvette.
The pickguard on that one used to be white but it has aged to that nice off white.
I would put that one up against a USA Fender Precision any old time.
