U.S. Peavey Club

Well, first gig for the Foundation T/T42.5 tonight! Whoo hoo!
Thought about using the BEAD Dyna as the 'other' bass, as I have many times in the past. However, the 'other' bass will be one of my non Peavey 5 stringers, instead, since I don't have a Peavey 5. I like to swap basses as little as possible, and not having the G keeps the BEAD bass cornered for only the low B string songs.
Yes !!! Can't wait for progress report !

I'm more than confident in this bass, as it's proven to play, feel and sound as good as any bass I have. It has been spot on with all practices. This one and the 84 Foundation are my most smile inducing Peaveys.
Calling 'no jinx' on having such a glowing review before the gig!

All the best with it..have fun and ohh..break a leg loll

Quite pleased with the way mine sounds stock. FWIW, the pickups are flat top humbuckers and sound a lot like the ones used in the 2nd model Dyna Bass and TL-5 to me. Totally different preamps, of course.

I looked in the control cavity and see the preamp is potted in one side of a Precision style pu cover. The pots are just wired to the preamp...not like the USA Cirrus or Millennium which have the pots soldered to the preamp PC board. Yes, it does sound good. I do wish the tone pots had center detents but I only paid $250 for this bass and it is quite nice for that price. The hardware is good and the electronics sound just fine. I will not change anything except the strings.

There was a post a few weeks ago about Cirrus basses being used in videos or online...

This probably isnt everyone's cup of tea, but the bass player for Otep is using a Cirrus in the video for Ghost Flowers (Even though is sounds like a Warwick on the album)
