There was a post a few weeks ago about Cirrus basses being used in videos or online...

This probably isnt everyone's cup of tea, but the bass player for Otep is using a Cirrus in the video for Ghost Flowers (Even though is sounds like a Warwick on the album)

That's way cool. Never heard these guys before. Cool sound. Tight.

So I got my purple Milli from Ebay today. It was cheap because it's BEAT to hell. Treble pot is broken. Knobs spins around. 18v wires are broken. Neck is filthy and dirty and grimy - WAY worse than Tim's was. I have every right to send it back - BUT - I will spend tomorrow fixing it, cleaning it. I have tons of spare parts. By midday I'll have a nice Milli.

Sorry to hear that. It can be a gamble at times.

It's awesome that you have spare parts to remedy the problem. How is the condition of the body?

I'm glad it sounded great for you and you didn't break a leg for the second time loll. Well done!
Yep! I don't want to go through the repair and healing process again!
The T42.5 just sits in the mix so nicely. It isn't super deep with bass nor super bright up top--just nicely sculpted to occupy the bass guitar space. Those Toasters just sound great.
I used 4 main tones--neck humbucker (15% of the time), both humbuckers (80% of the time), bridge humbucker (4% of the time) and inside coils (1% of the time--with a slight volume boost to keep the levels even). I estimate I played it about 65% of the night and the 5er the other 35%.
The bonus was just how easy it and my other bass played. We played 10-1:45 with two 10 minute breaks and I didn't get sore at all--which is a rare win!

I forgot you had one. It has the cameo grill, right? I'm still waiting for my Ampeg V9 to get repaired.

It did. I matched the grill cloth as close as possible to the original. That took a couple months to find since mine is the earlier version with the sparkle cloth. I gave it a good cleaning and rewired the cab, got the lift mechanism functioning and replaced the speaker and weather strip.

I took the amplifier to a local guy that is crazy good but notoriously slow. The joke around here is "drop it off Monday get it back Someday", so I knew it was gonna be awhile, But still it's getting a bit ridiculous at this point. If I didn't like him as much as I do I'd really be getting pissed.

Bummer. I'd complain to the seller and demand some sort of compensation.

If the 18v wires are broken, are you saying it has no output at all? That kind of thing needs to be disclosed.
