U.S. Peavey Club

To me!

Looks like it was modified, but won't know how much until I get it. Bridge was swapped, which likely means no piezo, probably an aftermarket pre, as there are no stacked knobs, and two of the tuners are crooked. Going to assess it, and see if it's worth restoring somewhat, or if it's better off as-is. Either way, it was too good a deal to pass up.

I'm not sure what the deal with the tuners is, except maybe the screw holes got messed up somehow. Modulus necks are hollow, IIRC, yes? Any way to repair the holes, if they are messed up? Epoxy or something similar?

It's a B-Quad 5, for anyone who cares!

I'm assuming that finding an OEM bridge and pre will likely be nearly impossible. Any suggestions as to how to get it functioning as close to original as possible? Thinking maybe a Hipshot A-style bridge with piezos, and a preamp that functions similarly, if there even is such a thing.

If it's not worth my time, I'll return it and eat shipping... and I'll give ya'll a heads up in case one of you want to snag it afterwards.
I'm SOOO glad it went to a TB'er !!!! AND a Peavey member nonetheless !!!! - Mike

So now that I replaced the strings on my GV with the Bart pups and pre this sounds way better. Those strings were so bad you can't believe. What was so dull and lifeless is about as far away as you can possibly get now. In fact next strings that go on this will be nickel, the stainless seem too much. Really bright. I am pretty happy with it now.

Delivery of my Milly 5, originally scheduled for tomorrow, got bumped up! :hyper:

Unless a previous buyer of mine isn't interested, would any of you want to buy my Millennium 5 Plus BN (yes, the peacock blue one I got yesterday)? I a/b'd to my Yamaha last, and I've realized that I'm going in that direction now...all-passive simplicity and such. That's truly a first for me, and surprised the heck out of me, but we change over the years with our gear. Pm me, and I'll let you know what's happening with the first guy I've contacted.
