Well at least you have a lot of choices. Fender needs to take some tips from Peavey and release more colors.
The problem with there being a lot of choices is i can be picky. lol

It took me about 3 hours to dial in a Millenium (took the same to figure out an RJ-IV).. iv anyone buys one.. PM me and I'll short cut you to it.

I have a feeling that my buying basses may end up just as rediculous as my buying habits with paintball used to be. Sad thing is i stopped playing paintball in part due to the cost. lol
Yep, I'm glad I have mine. USA made with top notch electronics and hardware, Graphite reenforced neck and great tone for under $500 in most casesI can't believe how nice this bass is, and the prices they're going for. It's insane! But I'm certainly glad that I found this one.
I agree. The only thing I'm iffy about is the 35" scale. It's just different. Haven't played it at band practice on a strap yet either. I'll be curious as to how it sounds in the mix.
The economy.

Like said above, its the economy. People are afraid to spend money so there are few buyers. If you have the money it is a great time to buy! I think that once the economy improves, Tim's prediction will come true and the prices will increase dramatically.

Over the past few years I've probably set up over 200 USA Peaveys. Like clockwork the owners receive them back --- then post on a rave on a forum.
You then go to Ebay the next day and see bidding on the same exact model.
I'm noticing more of the "I was going to learn" basses hit the market.. there are also tons of forum posts about "Doubted the Fury" (before setting it up) .. My Pbass is now for sale
A couple of years ago you couldn't give away a TL5.. it's rare to find a pristine one for under $700
We saw a price bump when Chip Todd announced his retirement...
Milleniums and Gbasses are the next to be bumped.. then it's Fury and Foundation.
The current price dip happens every year at this time.. spring cleaning.. spring cash... price always goes up in the fall.

PS.. bought a Reactor last night (impulse buy).. I can't wait till my custom shop Tele buddy nit picks it against his $5,000 axe.
I've refretted.. quite sincerely it's a lot of work compared to buying an ebay neck.. the real tools are not cheap.. Heck they may have necks in Meridian still... they have tons of misc parts
Do not overlook sending it back to Meridian for an overhaul... they do impecible work.. you'd never get this quality of post sale love from other vendors
Hint.. call them.. they have zillions of emails .. get a customer service rep assigned to your case.
since i've had the wiring redone, i think i am gonna leave it fretless ... there is an older foundation (in sunburst, no less) here in town i might be able to talk the guy down on. it's a late 80's model from what i can tell ... stripe around the headstock, triangle string button, super-ferrites ... maybe i will run to the shop after work and check the serial and snap a pic.

It sems that any T-40 parts have gone up quite a bit.
This foundy would be ~86-89.. the indicator would be if it has rubber bands on the speed knobs.
Age really doesn't matter.
A dorked foundation is probably worth $125.. you could go $125 if it had a good condition contour case.

They're collectable as they were used on T-60s.. In comparison a T60 is SUPER collectable as folks finally figured out it is exactly what the ad hinted toward "all the good stuff of a Les Paul, Stat and Telly at an affordable price"
If you ever get a chance to hear a T60 by a set of golden hands it is the finest production guitar around.
OPINION - get the rubber band speed knobs.. they do fit the bass better... your LazerP knobs will make it look older (original foundations had them).

As a Bass they're OK.. technologically there's stuff out right now that tracks tons faster.. Godin has a much faster track rate.
