So I tried my new 5/16" truss rod wrench from allparts. It does not work for my T-45. I had to get a regular 5/16" socket and use a long extension and I got it to work.

Here's a pic of one I made. The shank is a 5/16" Allen wrench that has had the short side cut off to about .600" long. The socket is a deep 5/16" thin wall that was cut off to about .532" long. The parts were deburred and pressed together in a padded vice. The socket ends up being about .350" deep. I used a hack saw and files to square the parts up before assembly. The parts came from a pawn shop and cost about $1.50. Get a few for trial and error or make one for a buddy. Took me about 30 min and two tries.
It won't fit in some necks. I have a couple of basses where the TR nut is canted to one side and there is not enough clearance. Those require the original type tool. The original tools can be cut off to get rid of the "flared" part and will work for quite a while longer.

Ya i just wanted a clean look. The only inlays i have are on the side and they are small mother of pearl dots in the normal place.
Tuners are cheap - it won't be stock, but you can get a replacement tuner for I'd say under $20, on one website, you can get a set of replacement tuners for I believe under $40...
Question about dating an late Fury. According to the Wikipedia serial number list mine is an '89. Found a book on Amazon purporting to be an illustrated guide to music instruments. The article claims the initial Fury ran until '86 and then was discontinued until it's reintroduction is '93.

It should be easy to find a replacement for the tuners with four screws in the back (prices above sound right). It it has the Grover Titans (no screws), they don't make the same style anymore, but NOS and used ones pop up on eBay on a regular basis.
Thanks, I think I'll take the chance that I can find what I need. It has the four screw type tuners on it, but I think they are partially enclosed.

I'd pass.. unless like $60 or so.. once repaired they're always repaired..
Foundations are cheap and easy to find on Ebay..
Stellar and/or unique ones top out about $350.. average are $150-200
This is the "good old days" for buying a foundation.

Yours is a 90s Fury.. exact year is kind of irrelevant/trivial as they're very consistent.
The T20 morphed into the Fury/Patriot (has a ring around the head stock)
They reintroduced when doing the Fender knock offs.. there are great copies of Teles, Strats and Pbasses.. all made in the USA and on sale right now.
Chances are it's Black with Maple.. sometimes a color (red) or rare to find black/black
