Trust me, everyone likes the P knobs lol. If i had spares, they definitely wouldnt be spares ;p

I ordered a set from his first batch, but didn't feel comfortable with the phone number thing he's requiring for some reason, so i backed out. Cool concept though and i'm glad theres someone filling the market void.

I threw those P knobs on the bass while it was in my possession. The originals were the rubber grip speed knobs.

Was that for the printed knobs ?

If so they'd be coming from Canada by courier and most international couriers require name,address, email and contact phone number.

Yeah, for the 3d printed ones. I suppose that makes sense, I had just never had anyone on ebay ask for that, even when shipping from canada, so i backed out. Must be a courier thing. Now he puts it in the item description, which is probably a better practice.

Circa 85-92ish, there was a blue catalog... in essence a menu.

FL was like a $20 upgrade option

In 1988, I had a T40-FL neck made (numbers matched the maple neck)... cost = $125.... I sold it a few years back

Off the top of my head, I remember seeing a T20FL, t40FL, t45FL... there may have been others.

The foundation (most of them were sunburst) was the best of all of them.

When they ask for a phone number for international shipping, I just use them my own so I don't have to bother my customer. I figure if there's an issue I'll get a call, and then I can email the customer. But its never happened.

Just saw this on GC Used - $364.99 and it was sold immediately. I'm not looking, but always curious to see what's out there. I guess I would call this color "cherry". I've never been a fan of red basses, but this is a perfect color for the T40.

Sweetwater just feels more secure maybe...? I personally don't give out my number too freely. It used to be the "telephone" rang, you picked it up and "hello?" If my little notsosmart phone makes some obscure noise I jump, look and if its just numbers I swipe to the left and say "BuBye!"

I never noticed that! Dang! No wonder I bought it by accident!...or at least I now have an excuse! Lol

Same. Never saw one. There were some bizarre rectangle cases in the early T era, but they were black, too.
I have two brown fur bass chainsaw cases, but black plastic. I also have one that was void of all lining, so I redid the foam and covered it with lime green flannel!

Since it didn't have the "FL" on it, I did consider having my friend who does great work add frets to it since it played and sounded so nice, and I loved it's black/rosewood/black headstock look. Decided to keep it stock since it seemed like a sort of rare combo of features.

I have been thinking today about these 3D printed knobs. I personally am into original things, and I have issues with the plastic world we live in.
Stay with me now..lol
A lot of people get into modding things up making things there own...The 3ds come to be painted. Customize them up! Paint 'em red or gold or leave them black for a blackout bass. Just a thought...

I have received calls after a bass purchase from a seller, first to offer a violin for sale, then again to offer a keyboard for sale. I thought maybe that young lady was selling off her ex-boyfriend’s gear, but now that I think about it, she did sound a lot like “Janice” at Sweetwater.
