I think I'm going to take the old Fender flats off my Patriot. I like the sound but they are just too stiff and hard to play. They've been on it for probably 30 years at least...I guess time for a change. What strings are people using on their Patriots these days?

You can also tap the individual halves of each pickup with a very small metal screwdriver as you flip switches and sweep the tone controls from single through double coils.
These are loose pickups I’ve bought over the years for future T-40 builds. I have a body or two as well as a couple necks that need work, and a pickguard or two, bridges, you name it.

A little scary looking with the gouges and missing truss cover....which is always a sign of potential abuse. Price is fair but I would never buy one so beat up....just me.

Yeah I don't think I'd take that chance on ebay. I just bought a Spector Rebop 5 on GC's used site that was less than pristine knowing that I could get my money back if it had any serious problems.

You really don't get that sort of no hassle thing on ebay.

If you have a nice trapezoid bridge for a mid 80's Foundation hanging around I'd be interested. The one on my 86 is a mess.
That’s right!! I knew someone wanted one! Sorry I failed to message sooner!

Can someone give me a quick breakdown of the G Bass? Positives/negatives? Thanks!

I had one and didn't bond with it because of the single PU and I usually play 5 or 6 string basses. Some of the brothers here actually prefer the single PU but I have tried both the G bass and the single Humbucker Forum and did not love the tone. YMMV

On the plus side, the bass played fantastic. I loved the feel and the look of it. The electronics are the same as the Cirrus but have the blend control removed since there is one PU.

I replaced mine with a GV which is the five string version which has the same dual PU electronics as the Cirrus. It floats my boat just fine.
