I use some stainless steel rounds 45-105, just to get that extra bright snap, as my Patriot is modified with an additional pickup to be a Ric killer.

Same, I have one actual P, with a single split coil pickup, built it out of Classic Vibe and Dirnt parts. It's a riff on the Dirnt P, fat maple neck, flats and all that 50s stuff. It turned out so good that I have yet to find a P to replace it! No Fury, but maybe some day...
Otherwise, I do have that modified Forum Plus that is my "P", though it's really a P/J, as well as a Fender US Dlx P 5 string, which is a P, but technically a P/JJ...

I caught this guy in a lie the other day. I found out through another thread here on TB. It was listed at a higher price, I pointed out the condition and missing parts, no case and offered $200. He said he toured all over the US with it for 15 years...turned out he had just bought it from a guy in FL. Lying is not acceptable.

I was considering using it for parts...oh well.

I’m looking for some concentric stacked tone knobs for my Accelerator. Mine are gold and super tarnished/rusty. The prior owner must’ve had acidic sweat. I bought some knobs on Amazon but they were too large. Any idea what the shaft size is on the pot?

Mine's currently wearing some SIT Rockbright stainless... they're maybe the most abrasive feeling strings ive ever played on, but man do they punch

I believe they are 1/8" and 1/4" which is the size used on the Millennium. Peavey did have some knobs in stock the last time I asked for Millennium knobs. They are black.

D'Addario Chromes, GHS Pressure Wounds or DR Black Beauties.

Pressure Wounds feel like round wound strings for tension but have a smoother feel and have less string zing noise.

Overall, they get a lesser resale value as most take the wrong pix. Holoflake doesn't make sense unless it's 20 feet back under stage lighting (most look black with a colored highlight).

that being said...

I personally own a single Modulus flea - a Gbass doesn't sound the same... the sound is akin to a cirrus.

the carbon clad is good for a slight sustain and regidity.

Upside is that most shops will refret a G... Most will not touch my phenolic boards on Composite Acoustics and Modulus.

Before coming across like I'm negative, I am having a GLenium put together (G neck on a Millenium body)... I'm super interested in sustain and insanely low action -- the bolt on requres a custom machined shim.

If a G was a different brand (think Zon)... the resale price would be 2-3x what they currently are.

If you like a cirrus vibe, with a more rigid neck -- a G is your value buy.

I'm predicting G and Axcellerators will be the next bump in price
