I wondered...the pole pieces looked different. It looks to have a Schaller PU which, I believe, is not original to the bass. Perhaps that will help you resist the urge to buy it.
Thanks Chuck....feel much better now

Just a word of warning, it looks like the seller also deals in porcelain dolls. The bass might be possessed by a spirit just from being around them.Thats a flippin’ STEAL!! Dang! Wish I could justify it!
I need to refinish my PatRic and cut a new pickguard since I’ve gotten really adept with my drill press and router. I’ve gotten plenty of practice during my quarantine.
Thankfully, that one's not making me itchy. It's the same '62 Custom Blue as my Gen 2 FurySomebody buy this please! My trigger finger getting itchy....my wife will kill me.
I don't mind it when basses are not stock...more often than not, I welcome changes that are often upgrades. It looks to have a Schaller PU which, I believe, is not original to the bass. Perhaps that will help you resist the urge to buy it.
I do....I would rather have original pups though. I've been searching for a Gen2 to complete my Fury lineup but I would really like to have original everything. I like the rosewood though....I really like it.Thankfully, that one is not making me itchy, it's the same '62 Custom Blue as my Gen 2 Fury...only this one has the fancy upgraded black headstock and rosewood fingerboard, which makes it extra nice.
Runner, I think you need a really nice blue Fury.![]()
If you are going to own a Gen 2 Fury...that particular specimen sure has all the cool bells and whistles!I do....I would rather have original pups though.

My Gen 2 and Gen 3 Furys both have EMG GZR P pickups in them, and to me that's an upgrade.
My Gen 1 Fury has the stock pickup in it...because...ummm...ya know...it's a Super Ferrite...WHICH ARE AWESOME!!!![]()
Cool tunes buddy! Love that red Patriot!
If I had a set, I would send them to Runner for free, but I have not accumulated any in my parts drawer.Well, Runman buy the bass and get the pups from 58... Problems solved...HA!
Thanks, man! The red tone is actually the stage lights - it's a mahogany body.
No offense to Peavey or anyone here, but I have not found Peavey split P pickups to be anything special.
My favorite split P pickups are the EMG GZR P, Dimarzio Model P, and the Fender Pure Vintage 63.
I think Peavey's original pickup designs are excellent, as good as any other pickup, and often enough ...better.
I've heard the Fralin, Lollar and Nordstrand are all really good but I have no experience with any of them.Agreed. My favorite has long been the Dimarzio Model P. I've wanted to try one of the Geezers. My P I built has a Lindy Fralin standard wind and I like that a lot too.
I know we're not supposed to utter the FWord here..
NTD - I will say that a Reactor or Generation are a better option.
