The Foundation S's came with Schaller copies of Dimmarzio's. No idea if they used them on the Fury's. Probably not but I'd wager Peavey didn't leave many parts sitting around on shelves.

I need to refinish my PatRic and cut a new pickguard since I’ve gotten really adept with my drill press and router. I’ve gotten plenty of practice during my quarantine.
Just a word of warning, it looks like the seller also deals in porcelain dolls. The bass might be possessed by a spirit just from being around them.
I'm kidding. Yeah, it seems like a good deal. I've never actually got to sit and really play anything with SF pickups. Its tempting, but I have to be really picky with any future bass purchases.
Thankfully, that one's not making me itchy. It's the same '62 Custom Blue as my Gen 2 Fury
...only this one has the fancy upgraded black headstock, rosewood fingerboard and black hardware which make it extra cool.
Runner, I think you need a really nice blue Fury.
I don't mind it when basses are not stock...more often than not, I welcome changes that are often upgrades.
If those Schallers sound like the Dimarzio Model P they were made to copy, then I would see them as an upgrade.
I have no basses valuable enough that being stock matters.

I do....I would rather have original pups though. I've been searching for a Gen2 to complete my Fury lineup but I would really like to have original everything. No offense to Peavey or anyone here, but I have not found Peavey split P pickups to be anything special.
My favorite split P pickups are the EMG GZR P, Dimarzio Model P, and the Fender Pure Vintage 63.
I think Peavey's original pickup designs are excellent, as good as any other pickup, and often enough ...better.
My '62 Custom Blue 1989 (Gen 2) Fury came with no pickup in it, which is why I was able to buy it so crazy cheap.
My 1992 Gen 3 white Fury came with a Duncan Quarter Pounder in it. I was able to trade that pickup locally for an EMG GZR, which was great.
My 1992 Gen 3 cream Fury came with a dead Peavey pickup in it, but I bought that bass with a small Peavey practice amp for $40 cash for the pair!
The few other Fury basses I've had with Peavey pickups in them, I sold them stock.
My Gen 1 Fury (that I bought from our friend Mech) came with an EMG Pre-amp in addition to the stock SF pickup, I yanked the Pre out right away.

If I had a set, I would send them to Runner for free, but I have not accumulated any in my parts drawer.

Agreed. My favorite has long been the Dimarzio Model P. I've wanted to try one of the Geezers. My P I built has a Lindy Fralin standard wind and I like that a lot too.
I've heard the Fralin, Lollar and Nordstrand are all really good but I have no experience with any of them.
I have an earlier reactor with the truss cover and bilaminate neck, and it's a killer guitar. I think mine must have been a factory 2nd, since the finish has a million little bubbles in it, but its still the best tele I've ever owned (after all the little upgrades I've done)
The Fralin is a good vintage sound. I've heard that Nordstrand NP4 (I think) is really good. I still just love that original Dimarzio Model P.
I’ve had Fralin & Nordstrand P pickups. They’re fantastic! I currently have a Lollar, some Dimarzio Model Ps and a Dimarzio Relentless. The Lollar is nice and vintagey like Fralins and some Nordy. Both Dimarzios are non-traditional aggressive P pickups that I absolutely love. Obviously, I like both flavors of P bass pickups. But, I’ll be putting Dimarzios or EMGs in my next builds.
