Ugh. Which chorus pedal?

Working on building a (ampless) pedalboard for live use.

So far I'm running bass into Spectracomp-->MXR M-80. I've tried a few different (mostly cheap or guitar-oriented) chorus pedals and immediately ditched them due to low end loss.

What's everyone's preferred chorus? Bonus points for cheaper pedals that sound great. I only need chorus for a couple songs (Sweet Child O' Mine), so I'm not looking to spend a ton.

Also looking at the Line 6 M5, since I only need the chorus for a few things, maybe a multi would better serve my purposes.

Advice?

Forgot to mention the Bass Clone. Been watching demos of that one, too.

At least I don't have to rush to buy something right away, so I have time to research and get the one that works best for me.

I'm not a huge fan of multi's, mostly because of the limitations they introduce when using them with other pedals, but if there's one that does the job without becoming a headache, I'd be interested.

I'd really like to keep it as small as possible, so 1590A enclosures are definitely gonna catch my attention first. One of the reasons I switched to running DI is that I suffer from back problems, so being able to ditch the amp (I also use IEMs) made my life much easier.

I've been taking my time as I research each pedal I add. So far, the M-80 and the Spectracomp suit my needs perfectly, though I may swap the M-80 for a B7K Ultra at some point. My guitarist and I are both closet metal heads and have been jamming more lately, so my next pedal (after chorus) will be some sort of gain pedal.

But enough about that, back to choruses.

TC Corona? Dry blend and Tone Print make it pretty useable, and it's pretty reasonably priced, particularly used.

I've been eyeing the Moog, but it's not cheep. Iron Ether Polytope, if it's in the budget.
(Edit: these are kinda dumb suggestion if cheap is a requirement. Sorry about that.)

There has been some discussion about the similarities between the Hartke pedals and Nux. Clearly they were manufactured by Nux but there may be some changes to the circuit that tunes better for bass or they may simply be rebranded. But knowing Larry i'm thinking some mods to the circuit.

The TC Corona has a Duff McKagan toneprint that nails his SCOM tone, so if that is what you are looking for, pick one of them up. You could even grab a Mini Corona, if you want the smallest possible footprint (and price). To make it an even better choice, the Corona does limitless other outstanding chorus tones, and has Toneprints that can cop things like the CE-2 and other sounds as well. It is tough to beat even if price isn't an issue, but if it is, I don't think there is a better choice (and I say this as someone who loves chorus and has owned and tried many, many chorus pedals).
