Ugh. Which chorus pedal?

Working on building a (ampless) pedalboard for live use.

So far I'm running bass into Spectracomp-->MXR M-80. I've tried a few different (mostly cheap or guitar-oriented) chorus pedals and immediately ditched them due to low end loss.

What's everyone's preferred chorus? Bonus points for cheaper pedals that sound great. I only need chorus for a couple songs (Sweet Child O' Mine), so I'm not looking to spend a ton.

Also looking at the Line 6 M5, since I only need the chorus for a few things, maybe a multi would better serve my purposes.

Advice?

FWIW - I've never used a chorus on "sweet child" and no one has ever complained.

THAT SAID - I use the Tech 21 boost bass chorus and love how it sounds.

having tried many choruses over the decades ... i bought another used TC Corona ... sold previous unit , tried a few more and came back ... that or the mini can be programmed to do what you want it to do .!

plus you also have 2 other Chorus settings available via the 3 way switch ... on Full Size = Chorus/Toneprint/TriChorus ... buy Used ..!!!

Here another one whose band was playing "Sweet Child O' Mine" and wanted something affordable and small.
Obvious choice: I got me a used TC Corona mini chorus, downloaded the Duff toneprint, and was ready to go. Cheap, Small, and got me the exact tone I needed.
Plus, when I want to try other stuff, I can change the toneprints. I give a good use to the Sweet Emotion toneprint as well (huge Aerosmith fan here).

What chorus pedals have you tried? I am surprised to see all the love for the BCD - after reading a number of reviews I decided to go with the MXR analog chorus, which I've had great results with.

That said, though, glad to hear that some are having success with the BCD!

Not to derail, but how is the Flanger on the MXR? Is it as good/better than Boss, etc? Is it a dedicated separate flanger or a chorus that sorta sounds like a flanger (I know, they're basically in the same fam anyway).

When you engage it it will layer with the chorus and the rate and intensity will change with the chorus as you adjust the knobs.
