Ultimate bass rig?

Here's some different advice - don't spend $2,600. You can get a great head and cab for much less.

Use the rest to pay off debt, or if you don't have debt, stash it away for a rainy day.

Thunderfunk TFB550@$1049...
Schroeder 410 or 21012@$1004...

Got a little left from your budget...You can send me some kewl microbrew from your area with the diff;)

O.K. I am looking at about $2,600.01 for my new bass rig and am looking for some advice. Please dont give me that it all depends on what you like ****. I want something that will do it all! whether I want to funk some little punk up, or rock gods balls off. Give me your best suggestion for a one cab, 1 head combo. I play a Modululs Q 5 and a Fender American P bass deluxe. Remember, a One head and one cab combo, ok.

Well, I'm running a good bit of what you're looking at so far...
The Demeter preamp and the QSC PLX power through BagEnd cabs (usually just a 2x12, but I have a 1x18 that I bring out for bigger venues). I mostly play a Conklin 8 and can get just about *any* sound I've ever needed, and the couple I had a hard time with are simple to dial in if I plug in my Roscoe Beck V. Moral of the story: This combination with one active and one passive bass has never let me down

ps-Although, I'm having serious GAS attacks for a Schroeder and this thread isn't helping!! :help:
