unlined fretless?

I'd like to order a squier or cheaper fretless fender jazz bass without fret lines, but I'm having trouble finding one. Anyone know of anyplace that carries any? Do they exist at all? :)

Most big manufacturers see fretless players as a small novelty minority. The fretless basses go through almost the same exact process, but the fretless bass gets the fret slots filled in with the lines instead of frets, which makes sense from a mass production and profit perspective.

Ah, that makes sense. I just wish they had a "build it yourself" option that let you choose something like that, like Carvin does (or used to).
