Can't believe it I thought I was alone with my one finger technique. I was doing a show this past weekend and a guitarist came up and asked me about my index finger technique saying he's never seen anyone play like that. So I decided to do a search and came across this post from last year. I only use it for fast plucking that some would have to use a pick to play. And to see Geddy Lee on video playing the same just puts a smile on my face.

Unusual 1-Finger "Finger-picking"?

I actually practice like this to make my individual two-finger technique stronger. It is difficult to do but just practicing for a few minutes like that every once in a while makes my RH technique sound very tight, and I'm a leftie so that's always been the harder part of the technique.
