Both are sold by Music123 and not actually Amazon. Might as well buy direct or from Musician's Friend for the same price. For what it's worth, the Roadrunner case has one review on MF and it's not that great of one.

And I wrote a review afterwards, but for some reason, it didn’t post.

Absolutely great case, really-cool finish, very sturdy latches (four instead of three like the cheapos), and the lid closes fine- I can't get it to NOT line up, the velcro strap holds the neck really nicely, it smells just like one would expect of a new case… just the opposite of that review, and man, I just can’t say enough good about it.

And the MF site has it listed at 40.5 inches, but it’s 46.5. My Jazz V and ATK305 fit with room to spare longwise.

One bad review, doesn't mean much. One bad review does not a bad case make. Especially for $40. How many items do you have and love, that someone else knocks? If there is a consistent drum beat of similar negative reviews, then you might pay attention.

Hey, I haven't met a Roadrunner case I haven't liked. I was just pointing it out to make sure people took it into account since there aren't any reviews at the OP's link on Amazon. Something in that one bad review might be a dealbreaker for someone else.

I'm no expert on Warwick basses and hell I can't even get a real good idea how much these cost new... which necks are good... whatever

So here goes

Bolt on 5 Thumb has been steadily declining for a while so keep an eye on it. Its at 1600 now

There are good ones like this one

And there seems to be Proseries kind too, like this

Yall can rap amongst yourselves if this is a good one & if its a damn good deal :ninja:

The Tuna

Thanks!

It's not a great deal yet, but it could be (and it's certainly not a bad deal). Warwicks are rather odd that (IMO) they immediately lose their new retail value, but the used market prices are very stable (and reasonable I think). I think at the end of the day the new prices are just outlandish, with the exception of getting something truely custom. If this gets down closer to $1000, it would be a great deal!

Note that I am a HUGE Warwick fan and own two, so I'm definitely not trying to trash buying 'wicks.

Well, I made a small purchase- I pulled the trigger on one of those $44 Roadrunner HSCs. My band is going to start gigging in the next few months and I only have gig bags for most of my basses. At least this way my Clement can travel in style!

Glad I subscribe to this thread- otherwise I wouldve missed this deal!

I bought one as well. Even though I don't have room for all the cases I already have, I couldn't pass up the price. I figure at least I'll have a case if I ever need to ship a bass that did not come with a case. Or I might just sell it to my son. All he has are gig bags for his basses.

I sincerely believe you won't regret the purchase.
