Upgrade amp - limited choice

Hi, brand new here, so firstly... hi.

I'm writing from Scotland, and am driving myself nuts deciding what amp / cab setup to move to for an upgrade from my Ashdown MAG 250 / Mini 15.

The trouble is, there is a very limited choice of decent guitar shops in Central Scotland, with an even smaller choice of quality gear. I really want to try out the setup first before spending my £1000 budget (around $1500).

I've been looking at the following amps...

Ampeg
B-2RE
SVT-3 Pro

Phil Jones
M300

Aguilar
AG500 SC

... and the following cabs

Ampeg
B-410HE
B-410HLF

Phil Jones
6B

I play a Fender Jazz '75 reissue and an old Warwick Thumb, along with a Novation X-Station 25 synth. I route everything through a pedal board too (Aphex Punch Factory -> FX Loop -> Aphex Xciter). I'm keen to move from a 1x15 to a 4x10 (or similar) setup, with a 300W-400W minimum - I don't really need much more.

Just looking for any advice you might have in terms of brand quality and UK choice against a £1000 total budget.

Thanks in advance.

Hey, just in case anybody was on the edge of their seat about what was going to happen next...

I'm now the very proud owner of a Phil Jones M300 with Neopower 8B Cab. Portability is definitely the future. Awesome piece of kit.
