Why wouldn't you put it in a stand? It's so much easier to get to and start playing than putting it in a case, and it's much safer than leaning it up against a wall. I don't understand the wall-leaners. Must not have had them fall yet. You will.

My acoustic is on a stand (and the guitar is behind it, against the wall).
My electric is in a gig bag leaning against the wall and the desk with a hardcase containing another guitar supporting it.
My point: I have parents.
Parents have money.
Money can be used to buy things, like new basses if old ones should fall down and break.
So, in essence, I can buy new basses if the old ones fall down and break.
