Valentines Day date advice

Nope. I secretly planned most of the night but never would let her know that and acted with a just regular go with the flow attitude up until when I gave her the Valentines gift as she never expected that either. She felt bad she did not get me anything but I told her to not worry about that as I did not expect anything (nor wanted her to get me anything as I wanted to make it about her.) I did really enjoy our make out session. She may of been expecting it as she said she really liked me and It felt right so I took the reins and went in for it. To me I knew I liked her too and I wanted to go in for the kiss because who knows what would of happened if I chickened out. Some will say kiss when it feels right or even the second date, dare say the first? However the third date is usually the sh*t or get off the pot date, especially if she is kind of expecting it.

Good on you, man! Cheers to the possibility of things developing further, if you so desire them to!

My dear sweet husband finally got the message: No flowers for Valentine's Day. No, this is not a trap; I do not at all care for flowers.

This year *he* had the best Valentine's Day ever. I flew to California on Wednesday and drove back in a 40-year-old Volvo 1800ES, which just happens to be a car he's wanted for a very long time. When I showed up V-Day night, he was very happy to see the car (and me, I'm pretty sure). Then I presented him with the SI swimsuit issue that I'd bought for him at the airport. Not a bad day for the guy.

I'm just glad I managed to not be in a relationship, for once, on Vadayday.

When I was in my early 20's, it probably would have depressed me, but yesterday was rather filled with relief that I wasn't expected to do anything special. Or anything at all, really. :smug:

So the best advice of all (according to me) is to break up with your gf/bf before Valentine's day. Preferably before Christmas, as well. :D

I rule.

Had I done nothing at all for VDay I would have been in the clear.
Curses to you TBers for causing me to doubt my gf's awesomeness.
That said, $20 for some flowers, a card, and wrapping paper for my DIAB was $20 well spent. Oh, and beer.

Nicely done! Your man should be counting his lucky stars!

I came into the room (hehe) in my boxer shorts and shirt, holding the box as one would. It took her a few seconds to register, and then she shouted "A Penis!" before proceeding to laugh.

Should have used the "..and look, no hands!" approach :D

Flowers: African Violet
Candy:Rerrero Rocher

Hey it's been a while since my great V-Day night so I figured I would post a little update. Since that night I think we both now know where we stand and our intent with each other. We are dating now and talking every other day or every couple days (not everyday). We both have openly express how we like each other and both especially over the last week started to push the envelope on each other by turning up the heat a little in our conversations. She eats it up, but really I am sincere about it. Everything I say about her really is not BS, when I say she looks gorgeous I mean it, how I like her attitude I mean it, not just blowing smoke.

We have not gone out since V-day because I got sick, then she had finals, then we had a huge snow storm around here and last weekend was her dads birthday so it was of course more fitting for her to be with her folks. Anyways we are going out tonight to a hockey game and then we'll see what happens after that basing how the game and everything goes. She is very excited for tonight and cannot wait to see me. Ditto really.

The thing I like is the fact I can just be myself around her and upfront with her, how she can take my crap and also how she can dish it out and how I can seem to take her's. Not trying to take things too fast, but may seem that way because honestly we just click so well. Tonight is going to be fun and I will not be worrying, I don't need to.

Make fun of me and make your jokes if you must :P

Whenever possible, put on side one of Led Zeppelin IV.

First of all, you never let on how much you like a girl. "Oh, Debbie. Hi." Two, you always call the shots. "Kiss me. You won't regret it." Now three, act like wherever you are, that's the place to be. "Isn't this great?" Four, when ordering food, you find out what she wants, then order for the both of you. It's a classy move. "Now, the lady will have the linguini and white clam sauce, and a Coke with no ice."
