Valveamp Bass from the ad up top ^

To all the guys who have gotten these basses, I am gad to like them thus far. I am acting as the US guy for now. Might stay that way, might not. I have no news about availability of more basses yet. We are still working on details.

Re: the Tuscany Swing, just loosen the truss rod a little at a time, until you have a tiny amount of forward bow/relief, and the bass will play great for you. I think that is the one I played in the video. If so, it is a VERY nice bass!

If anyone has any questions, shoot them my way. Frudua sent me pics of the production version of the GFJ bass. I am still drooling.....

That is my biggest fear with these basses. By the time we can get them back over here, the buzz will have died down a tad. That said, from what I have seen of the GFJ, and felt/heard/played with the Fusion 5 and the SuperB, they are worth the wait.

Sadly, I have to agree with the loss of "buzz". I know thats my case exactly. I had a nice chunk of change available but with no pricing info available on the GFJ and a couple of used basses popping up, I went with what was available to me at the moment.
I'm still curious to see what they mean by a street price of "under $1k". Does it mean $999 or something more like $6-700? If it was just a shade under a grand I couldnt get one anyway. If its around $6-700, then I would've been able to get one.

Oh well, things happen for a reason, right?

If I was sure of when they would be available I could hold off bit with no definate time frame If would not be easy. However If they are available I will get another one because they are that good. I have not played anything else in the past week and a half since my Fusion 5 showed up. And I have a few decent basses bassses to choose from. If this happens rather quickly then the buzz could be regained easily . If it takes several months then things would have to start all over again.

I will try to get hard numbers from Italy in the next few days. Same with a timeline. Since mike walked away from the line, there are none over here. They are eager to get them back, and thus far, it looks like I will be involved in some capacity. As for the GFJ, is will be enough under a grand to really be under a grand. Won't be one of those "under a thousand dollars, $999.95" deals. For what the bass is, it will be one hell of a deal. Pretty soon, I may have to obey a whole new set of rules in terms of posting about these. Not yet. Today I am just an excited end user with a smidge of inside info.

I'm pretty sure what happend, if I read the vagueness correctly, is that because of the weak us dollar, mike was getting ready to lose profitability at the price point he had already made...

To his credit, I would personally be terrified to start importing non necessity items in the current enonomic climate. The difference between him and say a company like rondo, obviously is price point. Sure the quality is better, but selling a no name product is a hard sell.

yeah all in all the whole thing left me a lil bummed out but business is business and i understand. it was the dropped the ball thing that left a bitter taste on this one. i may be over sensitive to things on this one but the nonchalante "out with the old in with the new" thing just dosent sit right with me when mike gladly extended himself to us, sales pitch or not is not for me to decide, but he was always there from the get go. im glad everyone is pleased with their bass. being the one who started the thread it makes me glad to see so many people get so much joy out of the conversations and for the lucky few the product. i also hope everyone else who wants one gets one however that may have to go down.

I agree completely. Mike has been nothing but incredible with his efforts in customer satisfaction in my opinion. He's personally been extremely communicative and helpful to me. I noticed the same thing and also felt that it was worded quite harshly. But as you said, maybe we're just being sensitive...

Good news! After talking with Frudua for a while, there has been some progress! They are sending me one of the heads to evaluate for now. Soon followed by a cab or two. Same with the GFJ bass. The Tuscany and Exlusive basses WILL BE BACK VERY SOON! The GFJ basses will be here as well as the amps! Stay tuned for more as I have hard numbers.

I know things are moving very slowly. I am doing all I can do. There are some new developments. I suppose the fact that as of today, I am not selling these basses means that I can post this. Mods, please tell me if that is not the case.

They are all but settled on pricing. They have some exciting incentive plans. The new basses are being built by a different factory than the one that built the Tuscany and Exlusive basses we have seen thus far. Same factory is doing the GFJ. Speaking of the GFJ, it looks KILLER. They have sent me all kinds of pics. The double jazz pickup at the bridge, which will switch to a single, all the pickups are Dimarzio UltraJazz. The deep tongue on the neck, which looks like "Leo" from the front, but has minimal heel, all of it, just killer. The pricing will be VERY nice as well.

The amps..... I just got one of the heads today to test, as well as demo around town. I will start a thread in the amp forum about that. If anyone is in the Orlando/Daytona area and wants to check out either the head or the Fusion 5, feel free to PM me here.
