Valveamp Bass from the ad up top ^

Well, if they acted this way with Mike (who is still insisting on buying me a new set of tuners), then I'm not surprised at all why he "dropped the ball." :rollno:

Hey what's happening here? :)

This is the last email we exchanged Feb 18. Did you get it? What happened then?

Email from Lorenzo of Exlusive said:
69,00 Eur.

Please let me know if you would like to proceed. You can pay with PayPal (+2.5%) or Bank wire transfer.

From Me said:
Is that the "discounted price?"

From Lorenzo said:
Yes is the discounted price.

Thanks,
LB

That's $93.40 USD, and he's also illegally asking for me to pay paypal fees. If that's a "discount," how much could they be at regular price? Half the price of the actual guitar?

I also sent him 3 emails (all ignored) over a period of 4 weeks before I decided to send you a message instead. So then I sent him *another* email, and only then did I get the above reply(s).

I paid for a guitar with the highly hyped Frudua Custom Locking tuners, one of the major features of the guitar. I received a guitar without said tuners. I don't see how that calls for me to pay another $100 to correct an error of advertising. Bottom line: I bought something and received something else. I'm a starving college student. I had to rally a ton of friends just to afford it, and it took a lot of time and effort to organize and collect the funds. And now the gift for my guitarist that I worked so hard to procure... isn't the guitar I was told that I was buying. Again, his guitar goes out of tune every time he uses the whammy bar. He's been using the guitar in the same condition as it arrived here, setup in the factory in Italy.

After sending 9 emails to Exlusive and receiving only solicitations to buy more products, I feel pretty gypped. Especially because it isn't for me - it was supposed to be a gift from me... a gift that doesn't work like the website claims.

I again like to reiterate that after sending Mike Spitzer ONE email, he offered to pay for replacement tuners.

I'm pretty disappointed.

I was really considering getting their Hollowbody bass for awhile now (missed that it was in closeout in December) and now, when it comes back to the States, I'll probably pass on it. Its really bad when a company doesn't stand behind its product.

I'll probably get an Eastwood or an Epiphone when I get my next hollowbody bass.

Comparatively, I'd like to think I was pretty patient. If the distributor immediately offers to pay for the mistake, and 9 emails with the actual company results in me having to pay an extra $100... I think I really tried to let this one play out.

I gave the company 8 more opportunities to fix the situation, but they just asked for more money, when it only took one message for the distributor to try to fix it. But it wasn't the distributor's error. He didn't give me the wrong specs. He just tried to do the right thing.

I'm not trying to spin this against anyone. I'm calling it like it is. Potential customers have a right to know about the kind of customer service they can expect.

I've followed this thread from the beginning and I've been pretty excited about these basses. Gotta admit that Mike Spitzer was one of the main reasons, he seems like an awesome guy.

However, this whole situation has very quickly soured my enthusiasm.

It's doubtful I'll ever go for an Exclusive or Frudua bass after this...

Spankypants, your situation sucks but I really appreciate you sharing it with the rest of us. Hope it somehow gets resolved...

Well, this is an unfortunate turn.... :hmm:

FIX'D

This is the first I am hearing about this situation. I have a set of Grover locking tuners somewhere, brand new. If I can find them, I will send them to you. I am sorry they gave you the run around on this guitar. This really sucks. Our negotiations continue, slowly.

Thinking this over even more carefully now....

I would like to help and this is what is happening here.

1) The guitar you got mounts a set of Wilkinson EZ Locks tuners. This is just a previous model with different hardware.
You can have perfect tuning with this guitar without spending any additional money. Please just follow my dedicated video on my youtube/fruduatv channel (how to keep a standard tremolo in perfect tune).

Really you bought the guitar for 180 USD? This is just the price of the custom shop Duncan pickup (160USD)!! ;)

2) You still want the new tuners? No problem. :)
The price Lorenzo gave to you came up as follows: 15USD for the tuners (are you happy for this price for a set of locking tuners like Sperzels?) + 69 euros UPS shipping..

Too much for shipping 15 bucks of stuff? I agree.

Standard postal service asked us 54 USD (you can check the italian postal service site price list). So we thought UPS for the difference cole make a better and faster service to you.

Do you agree?

The only alternative is putting them inside an envelope. In this case is 5.80 euros not sure how they will arrive though. If it is ok we can proceed.

3) Regarding the feedback I checkd and you've been a bit nasty here ;):

Except for one email which we are sorry for I am sure you will agree this is perfect feedback.

I understand you wanted to push us someway and decided to post here this way. I am sorry about this. Frankly you choose the wrong way possible to react with me. :)

Customer care is what I am famous for in Italy and it's totally prioritary for me.

This given if you still want the tuners your price remains 15 for them and 5.80 for the shipping. I will of course be glad to present them to you
given that you at least make 100 videos of you playing the Eruption which we will put on our youtube channel ;)

Lee any issue we are here to help. No need you renounce to something you own.

Just trying to make this right. It seems this guy got lost in the middle somewhere. I am not currently selling these instruments, though it does seem like I will be pretty soon. If it were me, I would ship him the correct tuners, free of charge. That is what he thought he was getting when he bought the guitar. While it is true that one can make the guitar stay in tune using the tips in your video, AND that Van Halen's first album was recorded with a guitar without locking tuners on it (the floyd rose wasn't invented yet!), the fact remains that this guy bought a GTR that was supposed to have locking tuners on it, period.

If customer care were truly a priority to you, you would have sent him the correct tuners regardless of shipping costs without this long winded runaround you're offering. Whatever they cost to ship will be much less expensive than the lost business you're creating for yourself.

Ehhh...the damage is done. This particular situation may be corrected to satisfaction but the road to redemption is long and rocky. I'd rather be reading a thread titled "ValveAmp Service...Two Thumbs Up!".
