Funny, as I listen to these vaporwave vids and watch the Adam Neely vid where he tries to make fresh vaporwave-style music with his band, it occurred to me that somebody already nailed this sound a long time ago. Somebody I recall listening to on my dad's stereo back in the day when having a CD player was a big deal...

I guess it's all part of the nostalgia element of vaporwave.
