by stoner/doom he means insanely loud huge tone.
to me, that amp is 1 for 3, as it doesn't come off as having loud or huge tone. but "insanely", maybe.

sartori, do you happen to know what the bassist from electric wizard was using on Dopethrone to get that psycho fuzz tone?
Verellien is obviously going for the doom/metal bassist who wants to turn a tube amp up all the way market.I'd be more worried about the cab, actually. I never turn my amp all the way up for fear of blowing the speakers.
i wasn't referring to how loud it is (its impossible to tell on that recording). i was looking at where the input and master controls are, and the amp appears to distort very early-on / doesn't appear to have alot of room in its gain structure to play clean.

well i guess then the obvious question would be, why even post a video of it?How can you tell that from a compressed, internet-quality video?

Ya, really. I couldn't even hear it in most of the clip. Geez, mic it with a real mic and run it into a real recording device, then take the sound and edit it into the video. How hard can that be? I see dudes in the effects forum do it all the time.well i guess then the obvious question would be, why even post a video of it?
they look like something built in a garage.
I dig it and that's all that matters.
Very true. What did the 4x12 run you? Is it a bass design or just the guitar cab with different speakers?
