46lbs is great! I noticed is also has tilt-back casters - curious if that's comfortable at 34" tall?

Comfy to me. I'm only 5' 9 so might be a different story with someone who is a lot taller. The top edge of the cab hits about hip level so it's not like I have to bend over to wheel it around.

Best cab I've ever owned. Amazing a cab this light can handle any situation I put it in. No more worries about my cab being able to keep up.

What's the approximate cost / wait time on these?

Depends on how busy Don is at the time, ( he's a one man shop ), but, figure at least 6 weeks , more or less. When I had the above cab built by Don, he only lived about 50 miles from me, and I visited him on a few occasions. He's also a bass player .

This is actually the way I would go and would be much better than a single 2x12, but he wants a 2x12 so I didn't mention it

The AE212 is neo. The HD and NV series are not neo. In another thread I said the HDN212 would be my cab if I could have only one for the rest of time.

Neither were the older HT Series remember those? (Back in the day before Jim was even considering using those new fangled featherweight speaker-ma-bobs. )

+1 on the HDN 212. Been playing mine for a few months, and it really delivers the goods. I've also owned the AE 212 before that, which was great also. Bang for buck: a used CN212 or AE212. There's some great deals on TB for these.

Looking for a lightweight vertical 212 bass cab. I've seen TC, but anybody else?

212 in particular can be very different animals,

Fullrange running drivers with more even response or more charatcerfull "voiced" response, linear (HiFi) sound designs with good/extended dispersion, low-extended designs (some draw-back "baked" in like less efficience).

Some are very nice in combination with (overdriven) tube heads, others do not so nice.

It all depends, so state your sound goals so the fellows can answer your question with all of their experinece.

There are custom shop designers as well who "tailor" a cab to personal taste (driver choice can do a lot). Very often the cabs are not more costy than mainstream cause there is no bugs to pay for additional marketing channels.

For example, here in Germany there is a manufacturer who offers a rather standard product line but, customers who want their distinct sound goal realised are wellcome and pay less bugs than for quality "main stream" cabs.

Just my thought on possibilities/options.

btw can't reccomend a cab at the moment cause I don't know any sound goal.

Neither you or I mentioned Berg or lds cabs in our posts. I have no intent to price them out , I wouldn't doubt that they over 1200. Quite frankly I'm not sure why you would bring that up. The OP never mentioned a budget either. I simple said for that price point it better be awesome.
