Very dumb mistake (scale error.)

I picked up a Squier Bronco this week to get a lil' short-scale action in the mix.

Bought some Fender tapewounds to put on it, and did this to the E string:

DANGIT! It plays and sounds kinda ok and is also driving me nuts.

Does anybody have an extra they'd sell me? Or know a source for single strings? I've googled around and can only find sets. The one I rekt is .110

thanks and Merry Christmas to anybody who's into that kind of thing.

Based on where the outer nylon cover is unravelling, it looks like the E string is too thick and binding in the nut slot as a result.
I agree it looks a little too snug.

It started unravelling when I trimmed the string to get it into the tuner. shouldn't have trimmed it like that, but yeah, the string appears too beefy for the application.
