So I just got this pedal today and thought I'd share a few insights/opinions on it. What an awesome fuzz!!!! I'm really diggin the way it sounds and acts. It can do a traditional fuzz to some pretty crazy tear your face off type stuff. I couldn't believe what was inside when I looked. This thing is stuffed full! I can't believe they could fit space for a battery. I saw a little internal trim and thought, cool! what does that do?! I started turning it to see. It wasn't making any different noises. Well, that's because it's to adjust the power/brightness of the LED. Way cool. Icing on the cake. Here's what the inside looks like:

I love mine too. Kind of a brassmaster type fuzz. You're Doom is very similar I thought. I swapped the original knobs I picked out for these. I like it!

What do y'all think??

Man I just keep falling for this pedal the more I play it. It's just so massive and monstrous, so raunchy and piercing get punchy and full. Like a big saw chewing/through the air. And when you play chords, WOW. It's just brutal. I can't wait to jam with this guy in my setup. My band hasn't jammed in like 3 weeks and won't yet for a couple more. Since we jammed last I picked up the VFE and the rusty box. My tone is going to me so aggressive. I likey :) you guys know me, I've never really been a fuzz guy. I didn't take much time checking out fuzzes all this time. I don't know what came over me but the last couple months have had me searching out THE fuzz for me. I can honestly say, I think I found it. Such a great bass fuzz. The bottom knobs gives all that punch you lose with a lot of fuzzes. I can't see myself getting lost in the mix with this bad boy. I'm gonna saw right through it!!

Pics don't work so here's the 5th image from Google Image Search for VFE Woodchipper

I like it. Where can I buy?

I found mine on ilovefuzz the forum. I had to trade off my duality for it :( but I'm happy I made the leap of faith. The was along $167 for it but I think they're roughly $220 if you order them from VFE directly. I think.

if you think that ther's a lot of circuitry in your woodchipper, take a look at what's inside my VFE bass triumerate (10 trimpots, + an 11th for the led brightness!)

Holy hell!! That is nuts! I was just perusing their site last night and came across that pedal. Seemed intriguing. But wow, that's a lotta work jammed into that box. And they still have a battery compartment! Crazy.

I had the regular triumverate and didn't care for it at all. I'll bet the bass version sounds WAY better. Intrigued!
How is it Johnk_10?

Johnk_10 is no slouch either in the building dept. His Gamma OD has a permanent spot on my board.

Damn, looks like I have another fuzz on my to-try list. Hope it's not like the You're Doom as mentioned above, as I thought that pedal sucked.

Let's just say I still have the Woodchipper.;) The You're Doom is great with other pedals and his whole synth symphony of pedals is going to be a monster combo.

I'm just now realizing he forgot to write "VFE" on mine. Ha! Have to correct that.

I don't see it on the site anymore. I emailed Peter to get some details.

Yeah it looks like they JUST revamped their site. It's no longer on there. I emailed peter and inquired on a couple things. He told me that the ver 1 WC isn't being made any longer and that he's working on ver 2 and it's still a couple months out from completion. Not sure if that means that the ones preordered or what not are that far out though. But he said ver 2 had knob pots instead of switches and it'll be a lot more versatile. I have a pretty rare pedal at this point and or moving forward ;)
