Here's a shocking unaltered photo of my B-25 as it sits today. You can reach it across organ benches, stacked cases and synths.
My final vacation in my miserable"professional" career starts tomorrow and my last day of work ever soon follows so I can clean, purge and organize which will involve purging free organs.

Congrats on retirement!

When purging your organs, consider that the going rate is about $20k for a liver. Don’t “sell yourself” short ;)

Thanks to all that posted. Takes me back to a point in time when musicians being in good physical condition was as much of a requirement as musical mastery. Maybe, being outside and active was better for us physically than staying inside working on our technique.

dude this gets so freaking old. Please stop telling people go out and exercise so they can haul their gear. I’ve got four compressed vertebrae in my back I’ve hauled heavy tube amps And 100 lb. cabs for 62 years.
I also used to get irritated when I saw people pull into a handicap parking spot, hop out of the car “apparently healthy“, and run into a store. I finally matured to the point where I understand that many peoples infirmities are not always visible to the naked eye.
You are Not the judge what anyone else should do. Especially when it comes to hauling equipment for criminy sakes. Really, what difference does it make to you. Please just stop.
Oh, and I still have and haul heavy Tube gear when I need to or feel like it. Most of the time it’s a DClass 1000 watt head and 2 to 4 112’s. Sometimes new, sometimes ceramic.

I am truly sorry for your malady. It is understood some folks can’t help their condition, and if I’ve offended you, I do apologize. That said, that old comment is NOT directed at you. I assume that you’ve not heard of “if a shoe fits”?

For your information, those comments you are objecting to are directed primarily at those that a bit of exercise would not hurt them one bit, and especially at those that post we are idiots for using our chosen gear, of which I am offended and find it old and tiring as well. Have a nice day.

I own two SVTs, a V4b, an AD200 Mk3, and a six space rack with two QSC RMX series amps in it. We call that one the widow maker. I can’t help but wonder about the wisdom of carrying 90lb tube heads and such around at my age. I must really love them. I’m a healthy guy, but one day is my back going to go PING when I lift one of these ? I want to be aware of my limitations before I learn the hard way.

My apologies for participating in this thread derail.

I'm 67 and still lug SVT's and other tube amps, I was even lugging an SVT head around Lima, Peru in taxi's for a while, now THAT got old fast, but I walk to keep in shape when I'm back in the states and I notice a big difference from when I do to when I don't. Things get a lot heavier when I've been sedentary for a while. I don't lift weights or do machines or anything but still notice the difference when lifting from the walking. I'm not a big guy, I'm 5'6". Walking is probably the best exercise there is along with swimming which bores the heck out of me. I also play a lot better and don't tire easily when I exercise regularly. I never noticed how light or heavy a bass was until I got to this advanced age but instead of purging the heavier basses i own and buying lighter ones, I just walk and they get lighter again, it's like magic!

I just saw an Oliver 150 something,? On the bay yesterday. In case anyone’s interested.

I love that big Red Plush amp. Is that the one you have? What I’m most curious about is the cabinet. I read the fine print On the ad and saw that they claimed it was a modified Klipschorn speaker cab. That really piqued my interest, and I wanted to know how it sounded.
