No, but there was the lookalike Plush/Earth amps of the late 60’s/early 70’s that were, basically Fender Showman knock-offs...

I've got a Plush 1000s and I guess it bugs me a little that everyone lumps Kustom and Plush together. All Naugahyde tuck and roll amps are not created equal.

The second pic, the Sunn 100s(theoretically a guitar amp)is actually a rare prototype...it has four KT88’s instead of the customary two for that sized chassis, a forerunner of the 1000s, 120 watts. Anyone here ever own that embarrassingly bad Screaming Lord Sutch album with Page, Bonham, Redding, etc? That was the bass amp used on that album.
Meanwhile, at a friend’s studio/playpen...

Make sure you clean yourself up when you’re through.

I've gotten weirdly obsessed with these videos by this guy, the Guitologist. He does all kinds of amp repairs, mainly vintage tube amps. I understand about 1% of what he's talking about, but if you actually enjoy reading schematics, and find old amps fascinating... This is your guy.

Here you go, I saw this at the NAMM show a few years ago, and touched it inappropriately

Then, at the Marshall booth, maybe not ‘vintage’, but the dream of every adolescent guitar player(of a certain age).

Great thread to read and great pictures. But I'm sure I would refuse to own any of those amps.
To me, nowadays amps are far better in terms of reliability, weight and power.
But I can understand the passion for these old rigs.

No pain, no gain. Who needs to go to the gym when you have this stuff.

Mine also need a new knob or a knob fix.

Here's a shocking unaltered photo of my B-25 as it sits today. You can reach it across organ benches, stacked cases and synths.
My final vacation in my miserable"professional" career starts tomorrow and my last day of work ever soon follows so I can clean, purge and organize which will involve purging free organs.

And now, for something completely different.
These are a power tube and the power transformer from a 3000 watt diy amp built in the 70’s by a mad genius from Astoria Or.
I wear a size 10 1/2 so My shoe is about 11”. So you get a reference for the size of this transformer and tube. !!!!!!!
They used the amp to power a large concert sized pa with JBL design sub bins about 8’ tall. You think your SVT is heavy? This tranny is about a hundred pounds by itself.
