Hey guys
Have had my LTD-D5 for around 10 years now. Recently I've been having an issue where the volume of the bass will fade out, and then back in, whilst playing. This happens through multiple different amps, and while directly plugged into an audio interface. Multiple leads have been tried, so it is definitely an issue with the bass.
Things tried:
New leads
New input
New ground/earth wiring
New pots all round
New 9v battery
I'm wondering if anyone has experienced this issue before and how to remedy? If it is a case of replacing pickups or the preamp I am happy to do so, as these are basically the only things I havent tested (unsure how to)
Also happy to take it to the shop, however always keen to repair myself if possible, and who doesnt like saving a few bucks Its worth noting the bass has had a reasonably tough life of consistent gigging and a lot of play.
