I've been playing bass for six years and still havent found the tone I desire until recently. I started practicing to some R&B and accidentally forgot to turn my volume up all the way. I loved the tone that came out of the speakers. just curious Is this common? Ive played electric guitar forever and just always cranked full volume. Does anyone else play at 80% volume? I play a '84 MIJ jazzbass and just felt having both pickups full vol.created a bit of unwanted drive.
