W-w-w-whaaaaaat?

Look, the T-40's are hideous anyway. It's one of the ugliest basses ever made, and its amazingly heavy. Actually, it's ridiculously heavy.

I think this guy did a pretty good job of making the lines flow. The reversed tuner is a bit silly.
 
guess that's why one needs adult supervision when playing with power tools.

I'm guessing this was punishment for some kid whose father wanted to take him fishing and teach him how to work with wood, but all he wanted to do sit there and play with his bass, so the father said: "That's it, I've had it with you boy! If you love bass so much. we're going to chop that instrument up into a fishing hook and you're gonna go catch some bass with it!"

Noticed the 6 digit serial number and that early case? That is one of the very first T-40's to leave the factory. They don't even mention the 6 digit models in online serial number lookups because there aren't that many of them. :(
