Sometimes I wonder if we should have a clearinghouse/compendium megathread for all the weird/clueless/psycho/unrealistic CL listings, musicians and gear. There will be no end to it to be sure, whaddya think? It would be best to reproduce them with a screen shot, as opposed to a link, since a listing could be taken down, and if there is any objectional wording or imagery, that would have to be edited. Whiskey Fox Tango inducing stuff. The only drawback being if there were multiple pix or longwinded text.
Anyway, I came across this; I’m not sure if this is creepy or pathetic, some might find it heartfelt, but I just can’t go with that given my innate cynicism. Go ahead, make all the jokes about freaks in LA that you want, I’ve seen plenty of just not right ads in other locations…

Dunno. I guess I’ll take a bite at this. From the ad posted, it sounds like his heart’s desire has withdrawn from public life and seeks total peace and quiet. As in, everybody leave me alone. IMO, If a podcaster/interviewer can’t engage her, it’s a done deal. I’m also assuming this poster is just a die-hard fan with no previous history with her.

If I was to answer this guy, I would advise him to re-read his own 3rd and 4th paragraphs, then to just let go and cherish the memory.

The word "desperately" is not your first clue, but it's a big one.

A little more than creepy.

There's someone on my local CL who keeps posting about wanting to produce other musicians. But he always manages to put the word FREE and the word LOVE in the subject line of his post, and a rather flattering picture of himself in the body of the post.

Then he includes information about how he can help musicians with production.

I swear this guy is looking for a hookup, but also maybe wants to produce some music, too. Just weird.
