IMO, Even for the US market that price is absurd. 3750 gbp ($5800) for a pretty standard fretless, when a brand new standard is 3650. Sorry, but I'd rather wait the year build time in that case. Especially at Bass Direct it's also 450 gbp more than the last two MkII's they previously sold, which are considerably more rare.

Guess its priced for the heavily impatient-gotta have it now-type of dude!! ssshheeesh!! everything looks pretty standard on it too!

I agreed !

There's a nice Pete's era Wenge MKI Top to sell, fretless for 4300 U$ ! More than 4500 for a MKI I'll not pay ! It has to be very unique to costs more than this !

Some add's even refer to "build in the Pete or Wal era", a reason to perhaps pump up the price. I really really like that Bassdirect fretless
but at €4395,- it's far to much money.

@ Caca de Kick; does Paul uses "standard" bookmatch tops these days?

@ Just checked the Walsite it's; "Standard construction options: Brazilian Mahogany core, 'bookmatch' laminated on both faces with American Walnut, Wenge, Padauk or Zebrano".
