Your's at least has some symmetry to it! Mine looks like a random selected piece of wood not meant to be used as a instrument top

what oli said. a couple guys here, when they got their basses this year said the quoted build time was pretty darn close to reality. I ordered mine in march and was quoted 17 months, my neck is built but the work on the body hasn't started yet and probably won't for a while.
