Wal Bass Club.

there is only one left now. The birdeye maple is gone. I mentally masturbated over two too long and someone got it. There is a fretless mk1 with shedua facings on there that I'm looking at. If people here vouch for him. It maybe ok to send the money.

hunterred43 - looks like you got a second chance!! stop mastr#%#ing and get on the horse...lol!!

Also looks like that cherry 5er is on hold

That Bruce Foxton Mk1 didn't sell, not surprising considering what he was asking. It's a nice bass and all but $12k+ for the name is unrealistic, that bass is probably worth somewhere around $4700? Seemed like a really nice guy though, hope he sells it eventually.

everyone stop what you're doing! I have very important news!!!

I unscrewed the pickguard.

no good reason at all. I liken myself to a young Jaco pastorious, just without the youth or talent. what we DO have in common is a bass that once had a pickguard, and now doesn't.

when I get tired of the birthday suit look, I will put it back on.

LOL ! I just put original WAL pickguards in some Wals, the ones that are without them are the Red Geddy Lee MKII, The 86 MKI and the 2000 MKII. Black MKI and Walnut MKIII came from factory with pickguards !

By the way, I think you also should unscrew the MM pickguard ! LOL

Yep… funny how that particular instrument "appreciated" within weeks, although it didn't sell in the first place. I almost pulled the trigger on that one, but let it slip because it's too heavy for my taste and I didn't like how the refinish was done.

IMO, it's a bit sloppy that BD does not mention that the finish is not original.

But it sure looks killer!

I think that this bass even refinished is one of the most beautiful Wals I'd ever seen. If the refin is pro made , I do not care about it.
